Resident Evil series template

Hi RobJ,

Thank you for your edit/revert to {{Resident Evil series}}. As there is a bit of a difference in insight between A Man In Black and basically the rest of the editors, I've decided it best to discuss the inclusion/exclusion of games in the template. I would like to invite you to share your view on the matter:

Template talk:Resident Evil series#Upcoming games
Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games/Navboxes#Inclusion / exclusion of non-released games

Thank you and happy editting

Re: Star Wars

Due to the number of reverts and resistence to the redirect a general concensus should be decided on the discussion page. Otherwise take it to WP:REDIRECT. Often the decision of a redirect is decided on WP:AfD or in a merge case. I think policy in this case may be more helpful than people just moving ahead with things that seems to be disagreed upon by some. Happy editing. Mkdwtalk 07:20, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Bowsy and Henchman

Having proven beyond reasonable doubt that they are separate accounts, creating a second sockpuppetry case against them looks a lot like harassment. I have deleted it. Do not pursue that line again. If you cannot prevail in your content disputes by strength of argument, start a request for comment or pursue some other means of dispute resolution. Guy (Help!) 17:39, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

While I don't think deletion of the page was necessary, I think you should wait at least a month before making a new case. –Llama mantalkcontribs 15:50, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem! I saw this crop up on WP:ANI which I monitor, then on WP:3RR so I thought I could add some more damning evidence :) There are numerous others that are dangerously close to 3RR as well. This ought to be fun to watch. Seicer (talk) (contribs) 06:28, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Looks like I misread WP:3RR. Oops. I thought it was for three edits of revert (whatever the reason), but it is four. I should have paid attention more carefully -- but it still looked to be in bad form overall. Seicer (talk) (contribs) 07:27, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Bowsy & Henchman

Have you tried an RfC? There is clearly a problem with their somewhat over-enthusiastic behaviour, and this may be amenable to gentle correction. Guy (Help!) 09:47, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

A RFC about you has started

The discussion is here: Wikipedia:Requests for comment/RobJ1981 Make sure you read how it works, before you decide to post on it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bowsy (talkcontribs) 11:13, 5 March 2007 (UTC).

Sorry

I have removed the puppetry accusation from the RFC. Oh, and I have never threatened you, Henchman has. I am not trying to act like an admin. I am just trying to get the rights and respect I deserve. Bowsy (review me!) 08:57, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: Messedrocker's talk page

I never said I was an admin, but Isotope23, JzG and Llama man are and you are ignoring their verdicts on the situation, which will inevitably land you in trouble. Stop putting words in my mouth, if you won't let Bowsy and I do it to you, we won't let you do it to us. Practice what you preach. Henchman 2000 09:06, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Who is "they"?

You said "they" threaten to do things when only Henchman does. You also said "they" act like admins but when have I ever done so? Please do not say that I do things just because Henchman does. Thank you. Bowsy (review me!) 11:18, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Can you help me?

AMiB has started to do a whole bunch more reverting after being unblocked... I have to go to work, but I figured I needed help with this guy. Not reverting all his shit over and over, but making sure someone knows. Scumbag 20:36, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

The charge on the RFC

RobJ, you are being charged with violationg NPA because trying to leave users out of votes and, especially, encouraging others to do so is most definitely a personal attack. Bowsy (review me!) 11:16, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Re:DYK

See T:DYKT. An article can also be on DYK if it has been significantly expanded from a stub. That was the case for Pockets of resistance. Nishkid64 23:43, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Re:Opinion

We have never said that you must change your opinion, in fact, by accusing us of meatpuppetry, you are telling us to change our opinions. It's never going to happen unless we do it voluntarily. Once again, stop putting words in our mouths and practice what you preach, otherwise I will report you to an admin. And no, I do not act like one. Henchman 2000 19:09, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

New User

Hello! As a new user I have not quite figured everything wiki out just yet, and came across your name looking up the history of the article on Monsta Mack. I was wondering if you are the creator of the article, or did you just edit it? -YeLLeY511 21:34, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

XPW

I don't know if you're aware of the history here, but the new user is clearly banned editor JB196 who has a long term abuse report. He can't even insert a direct link to his articles on OWW any more as they are spam blacklisted, which is why he's linking to the main site. A new editor would not know about an ancient AfD for JB196's article, and the pattern of behaviour means it's clearly him. Any contributions from a banned editor are classed as vandalism, and are exemept from 3RR. Thanks. One Night In Hackney303 03:20, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

3RR

I appreciate your effort in ending the revert war on SummerSlam (2005) by requesting page protection, but please keep in mind the WP:3RR. Neither of you have breached 3 reversions yet, and as such are not blocked, but please do not continue to revert. Thanks, and happy editing. auburnpilot talk 06:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Centralized video game navbox discussion

You previously expressed a strongly-stated opinion about a video game navbox or all video game navboxes in general, or perhaps I clicked on your talk page by mistake. Whichever it is, you are invited to offer your opinion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games#Navboxes III: Son of Navboxes. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 07:30, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

After reading WP:Listcruft I suppose I would have to agree with the prod; it seemed like a good idea at the time though! Just wanted to check to see if you think at least the category Category:ZX Spectrum programmers is appropriate. I feel there ought to be something to group these programmers together, who always tended to have a bit of a following (perpetuated by the speccy magazines of that era). Marasmusine 22:42, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

List of Cars characters

I noticed you deleted the portion of video game characters on List of Cars characters. It's a rather large section that I felt needs to be discussed before deleting so much. So I brought it back and placed an Unencyclopedic tag on the section, afterwards bringing up the discussion on the article's talk page. I hope this is acceptable. Leave a note on my talk page if there's any issues. -WarthogDemon 00:35, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

David Bartlett

Hi, you added

[[Category:Year of birth missing|Bartlett, David]]

to David Bartlett,

but his birth year is mentioned in the article (1968). Is it in the wrong format for you? If so perhaps you could rearrange! GB 21:13, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing it Rob - I was a bit concerned that "Rob" might stand for Robot and may not respond to a user talk! GB 21:27, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Superpower cats

Stop acting as though you are always right.

RobJ, you really need to take a step back and realise that Wikipedia does not revolve around your opinion, like you have made it clear that you think it does. You are trying to jump to a conclusion and override a conclusion posted on both sock cases. Bowsy and I do not abuse AfD and RFC debates, we contribute to them like every user is allowed to do, and if you don't like it, tough! No-one is going to change how Wikipedia works because of your opinion. Henchman 2000 19:03, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Rob. Please try and stop bickering with Henchman 2000. If you are not able to discuss things civilly, please try not responding to anything you see as trying to provoke you, and please refrain from doing anything involving him, provoking or otherwise. I am not blaming either one of you in particular for this, and do not want to hear about whose fault it is. Just, please, step away, and calm down. I will be posting the same message on Henchman 2000's talk page, with the names revered, as this message applies to both of you, equally. You clearly have similar editing interests, and it would be so much better if you could find some common ground and work together to make Wikipedia better, as this is clearly what you wish to do. Don't let an editing dispute sour your contributions to Wikipedia. If you have any questions, or would like some advice, please let me know. Thanks. Neil (not Proto ►) 23:23, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Are you aware that this article has lived through at least 2 AfDs already? What do you think has changed? I'm at least going to give you a chance to respond to this before I remove the prod. McKay 21:22, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

First off, I don't know what you've done with the first 7 MP games, and while I want what's best to happen to them, I'm not watching those pages, and I'd rather not bring them into this particular discussion. So specifically with MP8. there seems to be an inherent flaw in your reasoning. You've specifically said things like: "I can bet it will turn into a game guide." One can deduce from this statement that you think that the LoMP8mg article is not a game guide. Saying that it will deteriorate into a game guide is *not* a reason to AfD an article. It's a reason to watch the article and make it better, or at the very least let other people do it. It's statements like these that show that you don't really understand how Wikipedia works. We don't even delete bad articles because they are bad, we delete articles that can't possibly be good. So it seems to me that you think that because an article *is* a game guide that it should be deleted. Where Wikipedia policy is that if an ariticle *can't* be anything but a game guide, we delete it. But you seem to think that the MP8mg article *is not* a game guide, so it should stay. Furthermore, I would say that if MP8 is currently not a game guide, then it is definitely possible for the other 7 to become that way.
Another question I have is the same one you didn't answer before: What has changed since the original nomination? What new information can be presented about this page? McKay 21:41, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Orangutan

Hi, I've added a large comment re the afd - I can understand you frustration at finding stuff like this - I believe from my perspective its a bigger issue. I would gladly receive any off afd discussion on the matter if you wish SatuSuro 10:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Lmg list cleanup

I have recently cleaned up the List of Mario Party 4 minigames. See? It really is easy to remove game guide content. Now, time to work on the rest... Bowsy (review me!) 19:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

... in popular culture

You seem to have a "thing" about these articles. While I agree they are the repository of pointless and irrelevent cruft, they do help avoid edit wars with those unfortunate beings who seem to believe that this material is in some way vitally important. So until Jimbo says "hey guys, the servers are full, stop making new articles", I'll be using them to clean up serious articles and avoid long and fruitless edit wars. Your mileage may differ, but I think your campaign to reduce the number of these article can only be harmful to the smooth operation of Wikipedia. Cheers, -- Michael Johnson 00:48, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello, looks like the page was a re-direct hijacked by a user. Your opinion? Morenooso 05:54, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

I followed a vandal to the page. I started to db it but checked the history on a hunch due to his name. Morenooso 05:56, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

RE:Question on canvassing

While it is pretty obvious he targeted contacting 2 individuals who's feelings on this AfD would be no surprise, I personally wouldn't make a big deal out of it. Yeah, he was warned about this exact same thing before, but 1 individual he contacted is blocked from Wikipedia indefinitely and the other possibly would have shown up anyway. If he does it again during this AfD though, then I think it will be a problem.--Isotope23 13:20, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

multi responses

I wanted to show that there are only two shaky legs that the deleteists have to stand on. Replying to other's posts is part of WP:CONSENSUS. McKay 14:35, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Your objection stated Should just be a taskforce of the project mentioned, it's too broad. I'd like to clarify something: the page Wikipedia:School and university projects is a list in the Wikipedia namespace, not a WikiProject. I agree this particular list has a confusing name. I hope you'll support the proposal or at least strikethrough the objection. Cheers, DurovaCharge! 13:26, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

This doesn't qualify for speedy, but an AfD might be in order because I'm not sure this person meets WP:BIO. Also, in regards to your earlier question about how to do a 2nd afd... it's kind of hard to describe. There may be a better way to do it, but you can look at User:Isotope23/sandbox history for an example. Specifially, after I saved the AfD, I went in and modified it. After this I would follow the new link and set up the AfD page there. This is the only way I know how to do it...--Isotope23 20:38, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
