Hello, I'm Serols. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Calvin Coolidge— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. British Prime Ministers[edit]
British Prime Ministers are not numbered. Sam Blacketer (talk) 23:18, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
To add a bit of background Rivirian: British Prime Ministers aren't numbered like US Presidents for
several boring reasons. Firstly, the term "Prime Minister" wasn't used until
the early twentieth century, before then the office was called "First Lord
of the Treasury", in fact to this day the Prime Minister still is the First
Lord of the Treasury, that's what it says on No. 10's letterbox. Another
thing is, the United Kingdom didn't exist until 1801, before then it was
Great Britain, so technically Robert Walpole was the first Prime Minister of
Great Britain and Henry Addington was the last Prime Minister of Great
Britain and the first Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Also, there is a
debate as to weather non-consecutive terms are counted twice, like the way
the Americans count Grover Cleveland, the Downing Street website says Gordon
Brown will be the 52nd person to walk through the doors of Downing Street as
PM not the 75th. Then there is the issue of how many times Ramsay MacDonald
is counted as the government changed part way through his second term but he
remained as Prime Minister. Finally, it's just not a British tradition to
count the number people who have held a particular office. Regards - Galloglass 09:32, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
- The above still applies, please do not readd the numbers. There is no basis for your edits' IdreamofJeanie (talk) 15:10, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
President infobox edits[edit]
These changes are totally without explanation. In my opinion, they are detrimental to the biographies because, as soon as we begin listing every election that a candidate participated in inside the infobox, it gets very crowded and totally unreadable. Please stop. Thank you. Display name 99 (talk) 19:32, 20 August 2017 (UTC)
Think about it. If we did this for the elections in which they participated in as presidential candidates, we'd have to do it for elections they participated in as candidates for vp, Senate, the House of Representatives, governor, or anything else. Quickly, the infobox becomes extremely difficult to read. The infobox is just a very basic summary of the article. Greater details should be left to the main body. WP:1RR[edit]
Your recent edits on Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. appears to violate WP:1RR discretionary sanctions in that you have restored material whose addition was challenged by reversion. Additions to the article challenged by reversion may not be reinserted to an article subject to 1RR without talk page consensus. Please review your edit and if you believe it may violate 1RR or are unsure it is suggested that you self revert. Thank you. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 16:14, 12 September 2017 (UTC) |

Disambiguation link notification for April 19[edit]
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Robert Taylor and William Boyd (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Notice of No Original Research Noticeboard discussion[edit]
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:No original research/Noticeboard#Possible serial synthesizer? regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.
I notice that many of your edits may not conform to Wikipedia:No original research because they appear to be your own analysis, unsupported by a reference. I appreciate that these edits are made in good faith with the desire to improve Wikipedia. Cheers, HopsonRoad (talk) 13:37, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have undone many of your recent contributions for three main reasons: 1) State nicknames do not conform to WP:TERSE. 2) Statements about whether an event was the last/first one as of a date appear to be your original research, and not something cited in a source. 3) They are also problematic in that they would have to be tracked and updated when the status quo changes. I'm pausing in my reversions to give you the opportunity to respond. Sincerely, HopsonRoad (talk) 16:22, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Kensington and Chelsea London Borough Council, without citing a reliable source. Places in infobox[edit]
Hello, it's not necessary to add specific details such as hospital, borough, or county about the place of birth/death of persons. The infobox is meant to be a summary, so normally city/town (plus state or province if applicable) and country are sufficient. Please see Template:Infobox_person#birth_place. ... discospinster talk 15:24, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Again, do not add unnecessary extraneous information to the infobox, it is supposed to be a summary. ... discospinster talk 22:48, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
