Lotus 7 Article

Hi, I reverted your edit as it was a link to an external commercial website which did not add to the article. External links like this are discouraged in Wikipedia (See WP:LINKSTOAVOID for more info on linking). I did make a comment, the 'rv linkspam' means reverted due to link spam. Sorry I just refer to all commercial links as spam. I agree the list of manufacturers needs to be there. I think any links to commercial sites shouldn't really be there under wiki guidelines. The only reaon i removed yours was as it came up on my watchlist as a change, I haven't had a good look at the article for a while. If the manufacturer is notable enough i think a wiki link is the only link needed as wikipedia is not supposed to be a link reposititory so i personally think all the external links should be removed as they don't add sunstantially to the article. The Caterham situation is slightly different seeing as they bought the rights from Lotus, whereas the others are clones.KingDoorknob (talk) 11:23, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized.
