Disambiguation link notification for October 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Largest airlines in the world, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Emirates. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Riga - 35433614493 1.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 06:49, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Darius-and-Girenas-Stadium.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Darius-and-Girenas-Stadium.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:11, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

FLC review[edit]

Hello Respublik, you have done a full review my nomination here Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/AIFF Player of the Year Awards/archive2. I have addressed all your comments and made changes where ever possible and required. But it has been one week since my last comment but there is no closing response from you. You need to give a vote like the other users otherwise for the directors and delegates it seems the discussion under your comments is still open which is delaying the process. Kindly, put your words for the final comment so the promotion process be done quickly. Thank you. Drat8sub (talk) 11:08, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

September 2023[edit]

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Tony Geidmintis article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 19:10, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page 2023–24 EuroLeague, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 19:09, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of professional sports leagues by revenue[edit]

Hello! I reverted your update to the NBA's revenue numbers in the "Leagues by Revenue" list. I followed the link to the source article, but found it was only talking about the new rules for resting players, and had no information about revenue. I also noticed you were citing revenues for the 2023-24 season, which doesn't even start for another 5 days, so I think it's probably far too early to be updating our revenue totals with information from that particular season. There are contractual revenues out into the future one could cite for many of these leagues from media rights and ongoing sponsorship deals, but then we'd end up having to chase data to keep the numbers up to date, and probably roll into the realm of WP:OR.

I expect we might be able to find a newer source for the 2022-23 season, but we shouldn't try and push into the future for this topic. Hamtechperson 14:10, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stadio Olimpico /2[edit]

Hello, would you please explain me this fact, 'cause I am not exactly familiar with en.wiki's customs? The article is 120+ kb long, thus I'd assume such long lead is now justified (whereas I might understand you judged it too long when I first edited it). The initial section summarizes the multiple issued treated in the article, and is necessarily a bit long, but I asume adequate to the lenght of the whole article. More precisely, I'd like to know in which way the issue remains unrectified. Regards, -- Blackcat 18:02, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

UK population estimates[edit]

Hi Respublik, thanks for your hard work updating population data on several articles. But please don't keep updating to the ONS 2023 estimates. These are experimental statistics and will be replaced when the official statistics are released. The next mid-year population estimate will be released probably in spring 2024 for mid-2022. All the English District templates will update to the mid-2022 figure when they are released, including English district population, English district rank, English statistics year and United Kingdom district population citation. So any tables using these templates are designed to be self-maintaining. Dgp4004 (talk) 09:48, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Qui Jin's VA close[edit]

Hi, welcome to the WikiProject Vital Project! In order to close a proposal you have to list the article in the VA list, in the case it's the [1] sub-section, change the respective the quotas and add a talk page banner to the article (it already got removed by the bot because the article was not listed). Cheers. The Blue Rider 00:27, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @The Blue Rider. In which page exactly? I've searched through all the FAQ and archive pages I could discover, and the answers I came across were notably unhelpful for closing a proposal.
Also while you are here, I was also wondering which one of the time limits to close a discussion is actually relevant at least for the level 5? Respublik (talk) 00:57, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see that you already correctly listed it. You can close a discussion if more than 2 weeks have passed, see Wikipedia talk:Vital articles/Level/5#Introduction for all the rules. The Blue Rider 12:50, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The lack of non-bot edits in the page history had initially confused me. Still It could be helpful to incorporate this in the project's FAQ page to help out newcomers. Thanks for assisting me. Respublik (talk) 13:02, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

RFA2024 update: no longer accepting new proposals in phase I[edit]

Hey there! This is to let you know that phase I of the 2024 requests for adminship (RfA) review is now no longer accepting new proposals. Lots of proposals remain open for discussion, and the current round of review looks to be on a good track towards making significant progress towards improving RfA's structure and environment. I'd like to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has given us their idea for change to make RfA better, and the same to everyone who has given the necessary feedback to improve those ideas. The following proposals remain open for discussion:

  • Proposal 2, initiated by HouseBlaster, provides for the addition of a text box at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship reminding all editors of our policies and enforcement mechanisms around decorum.
  • Proposals 3 and 3b, initiated by Barkeep49 and Usedtobecool, respectively, provide for trials of discussion-only periods at RfA. The first would add three extra discussion-only days to the beginning, while the second would convert the first two days to discussion-only.
  • Proposal 5, initiated by SilkTork, provides for a trial of RfAs without threaded discussion in the voting sections.
  • Proposals 6c and 6d, initiated by BilledMammal, provide for allowing users to be selected as provisional admins for a limited time through various concrete selection criteria and smaller-scale vetting.
  • Proposal 7, initiated by Lee Vilenski, provides for the "General discussion" section being broken up with section headings.
  • Proposal 9b, initiated by Reaper Eternal, provides for the requirement that allegations of policy violation be substantiated with appropriate links to where the alleged misconduct occured.
  • Proposals 12c, 21, and 21b, initiated by City of Silver, Ritchie333, and HouseBlaster, respectively, provide for reducing the discretionary zone, which currently extends from 65% to 75%. The first would reduce it 65%–70%, the second would reduce it to 50%–66%, and the third would reduce it to 60%–70%.
  • Proposal 13, initiated by Novem Lingaue, provides for periodic, privately balloted admin elections.
  • Proposal 14, initiated by Kusma, provides for the creation of some minimum suffrage requirements to cast a vote.
  • Proposals 16 and 16c, initiated by Thebiguglyalien and Soni, respectively, provide for community-based admin desysop procedures. 16 would desysop where consensus is established in favor at the administrators' noticeboard; 16c would allow a petition to force reconfirmation.
  • Proposal 16e, initiated by BilledMammal, would extend the recall procedures of 16 to bureaucrats.
  • Proposal 17, initiated by SchroCat, provides for "on-call" admins and 'crats to monitor RfAs for decorum.
  • Proposal 18, initiated by theleekycauldron, provides for lowering the RfB target from 85% to 75%.
  • Proposal 24, initiated by SportingFlyer, provides for a more robust alternate version of the optional candidate poll.
  • Proposal 25, initiated by Femke, provides for the requirement that nominees be extended-confirmed in addition to their nominators.
  • Proposal 27, initiated by WereSpielChequers, provides for the creation of a training course for admin hopefuls, as well as periodic retraining to keep admins from drifting out of sync with community norms.
  • Proposal 28, initiated by HouseBlaster, tightens restrictions on multi-part questions.

To read proposals that were closed as unsuccessful, please see Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review/Phase I/Closed proposals. You are cordially invited once again to participate in the open discussions; when phase I ends, phase II will review the outcomes of trial proposals and refine the implementation details of other proposals. Another notification will be sent out when this phase begins, likely with the first successful close of a major proposal. Happy editing! theleekycauldron (talk • she/her), via:
