statement: relistening a double LP (FSM 33 056 / 57 FONO Münster 1985) containing compositions of 15 different female piano composers, completely played by pianist Rosario Marciano (female) I was glad to find any information about this pianist. I guess she got enough merrits to spent memory capacity of Wikipedia for an article.
To quote from the record cover: "...first concerts when 6 years old, lived in Europe since 1962, continueing education with Jörg Demus, Alfred Brendel, Paul Badura Skoda,
first prices (not specified) in international contests,
she founded a museum in Caracas accomodating her piano collection of historic instruments,
she achieved obligatory music lessons for pupils in Venezualian schools in 1973, !!!
she was interested in female as composer and identified more then 2.000 female composers."

Frankel, film score composing- I still say, remove the larger category.[edit]
I have scores and recordings of several of his concert works and couldn't agree more- it's through a review of his symphonies on cpo in Fanfare, I believe, that I came to know his music, and I'd heard at least 6 of the 8 symphonies and a number of other works before I heard any of his film music. What did I mean (and I still stand by my deletion)? I meant, that having both categories was redundant, if one was a subcategory of the other at least (and if not, there should be such a link formed). The more specific category gets used. Otherwise, we'd have
Musician
Composer
British composer
English composer
English film score composer
and this is much advised-against. (Having his other musician-related activities- instrumental, conducting, iirc?- no problem there...

Classical pianists (recorded)[edit]
Dear Ronan, while writing some biographical notes on pianists I have on a couple of occasions added a few to the list of recording pianists. Some I think are legitimate (e.g. Pouishnoff) but others you may think too insignificant. It is difficult to know where the boundary lies. The newsletter is back! Many things have gone on during the past few months, but many things have not. While the assessment drive helped revitalize the assessment department of the project, many other departments have received no attention. Most notably: peer review and our "workgroups". A day long IRC meeting has been planned for October 13th, with the major focus being which areas of the project are "dead", what should our goals be as a project, and how to "revive" the dead areas of our project. Contribute to the discussion on the the new channel (see below) We decided to deliver this newsletter to all project members this month but only those with their names down here will get it delivered in the future. This is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. - This brings up an issue that bothers me a litte, Gerda.
- It's hard to see how quoting from a score is any more original than quoting from a text. No judgement is required, simply an ability to read. It does not require "any analysis or synthesis of published material that reaches or implies a conclusion not stated by the sources. "
- I don't know how reliable I am as a musicologist, but I can score read!
