Hi RMehra, I have noticed that you have been editing Manali for the past few days. Thanks for the effort. I would also advise you to visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian cities for more guidelines. I am generally trying to contribute to all Himachal related articles and hence my interest in Manali. Pls let me know if you need any help or clarification on this subject. Lost 04:34, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to know that. Will be great if you can add a few snaps. We lack good snaps of Himachal. Lost 05:11, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaning up vandalism[edit]

Assuming you are not an administrator, the quickest most easiest way to clean vandalism is to select a good version of an article from the article history, then save a copy of that version. That's all there is to it. Remember to leave relevant comments in the edit summary for other editors. For more detailed information, see Wikipedia:Vandalism. -- Longhair 06:04, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Untagged images at commons[edit]

Hi. You've forgotten to tag some of the images you uploaded in commons. See commons:User talk:RMehra. Please tag them ASAP so they don't get deleted. Thanks! -- Paddu 16:22, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To tag an image, you just have to edit the image description pages and add the code:
{{tag name}}
That code just adds the contents of the page "Template:tag name" into the image description page. You can learn more about templates at m:Help:A quick guide to templates and m:Help:Template. For now, you can edit commons:Image:Sultanahmet_Mosque-3.jpg and commons:Image:Istanbul_Tulips.JPG, and add the code {{GFDL-self}} (this transcludes commons:Template:GFDL-self).
BTW to send a message to somebody, use the page "User talk:user name", not "User:user name", e.g. User talk:Paddu. -- Paddu 22:37, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's definitely there for me and hasn't been deleted. Possibly a tech issue.Blnguyen | rant-line 07:50, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your problem may be related to the .ogg media file imbedded in the article, though I'm not sure what type of technical issue that could be causing with your own pc. You'd need to check your own setup for that or seek some local assistance. That said, there's the printable version of the exact same article here if that helps, though you won't be able to edit that version. Let me know if you need further assistance. -- Longhair 16:44, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blanks[edit]

I saw your message on Srikeit's page. If he continues blanking stuff, I can block him. (I'm an admin).Blnguyen | rant-line 05:47, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Edits by 217.194.34.116[edit]

Hi RMehra, Thanks for the heads-up! I noticed this users edits as many of the articles he vandalized were watchlisted by me & I reverted some. I have now reviewed his contribs & have reverted all the other vandalism he has done. Also a look at his talk page shows Blnguyen (who is an admin) has warned him too. So the next time he vandalizes an article, he will be blocked. Anyway I must tell you that your contributions to the Himachal and Manali articles have been exceptional. Please do keep up the excellent work. Cheers --Srikeit (Talk | Email) 05:53, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
