Eve of Alana

I'm working on the translation of the sources of all I modified. They have been all listed in the german and spanish version of the same article. You've complicated my work by not checking that only two minutes after I made a mayor update. But no worries. Picturechina (talk) 16:47, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

@Picturechina: Glad to hear that you will be re-adding the changes with cited content (feel free to undo my reversion when you have the sources ready if that makes it easier). In future, it might be better to prep for big changes that may take some time using a userspace draft so you have all the time you need. Cheers! RA0808 talkcontribs 16:49, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

Biased Information

The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Canada contains biased language which suggests an partisan opinion of Canada. I have withdrawn my financial support of Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Imseppl (talkcontribs) 17:47, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

@Imseppl: Removing cited content was not exactly constructive, if you are concerned you should have a meaningful discussion on the talk page to achieve consensus. I also fail to see how biased languages suggests an impartial opinion... seems rather contradictory. If you have any other questions about editing please feel free to visit the Wikipedia Teahouse, which is staffed with volunteers to assist new editors. Cheers! @Imseppl: Just for future reference: it is a common courtesy to other editors to use strikethroughs or other means to indicate when you make changes to your own comments. RA0808 talkcontribs 18:28, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

ANI Experiences survey

The Wikimedia Foundation Community health initiative (led by the Safety and Support and Anti-Harassment Tools team) is conducting a survey for en.wikipedia contributors on their experience and satisfaction level with the Administrator’s Noticeboard/Incidents. This survey will be integral to gathering information about how this noticeboard works - which problems it deals with well, and which problems it struggles with.

The survey should take 10-20 minutes to answer, and your individual responses will not be made public. The survey is delivered through Google Forms. The privacy policy for the survey describes how and when Wikimedia collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from survey participants and can be found here:

If you would like to take this survey, please sign up on this page, and a link for the survey will be mailed to you via Special:Emailuser.

Please be aware this survey will close Friday, Dec. 8 at 23:00 UTC.

Thank you on behalf of the Support & Safety and Anti-Harassment Tools Teams, Patrick Earley (WMF) talk 21:14, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Ohio gubernatorial election, 2018

A poll is cited on Ohio gubernatorial election, 2018 that appears to not exist. Link is broken. I removed it, and you restored it.

Darren. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.155.125.229 (talk) 20:10, 5 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi Darren, and welcome to Wikipedia! Cited information is usually not removed simply because a link is dead, see WP:DEADLINK. After taking another look it seems the URL was written improperly and the results *do* in fact exist. RA0808 talkcontribs 20:20, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
I located the proper link with a simple Google search. Thanks!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.155.125.229 (talk) 20:33, 5 December 2017 (UTC)

Re: Brian A. Joyce edits

Please stop undoing my edits on the Brian A. Joyce page. The content I removed was misleading, which is both unethical and a violation of Wikipedia's policy on Living Persons. At the very least, please remove the more sensationalistic portions of the content and also include that Joyce pled Not Guilty to all charges and has steadfastly asserted his innocence at all times. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ams24598 (talkcontribs) 22:54, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

@Ams24598: Which portions precisely are you calling misleading or sensationalistic? All of the statements made are cited to the Boston Globe, a very reliable newspaper, with the exception of "The nature of the raid has again raised recurring questions about the close relationship between the Boston Globe and the office of Boston's U.S. Attorney, Carmen Ortiz." which is cited to a blog which is now apparently defunct (though still available at the Internet Archive). User talk:Iggy the Swan

Thanks for reverting the disruptive edit made by 112.207.108.68 so quickly - this IP address along with thousands of others all come from the same vandal My Royal Young who has been vandalising Wikipedia for seven months - I cannot think why the user keeps on doing it... Iggy (talk) 17:30, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

Hey! Based on your edits to NationStates, I thought maybe you would be interested that I started a series of userboxes for the game. Feel free to add any or add your own!-🐦Do☭torWho42 () 06:16, 16 December 2017 (UTC)

Sure why not, sounds like fun! RA0808 talkcontribs 21:53, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

With due respect, Why is my reference removed from the page "Saad Khandakar" and nominated the page for deletion?

Good Morning,

I'm a new contributor. I started contributing recently and wanted to create my first article. So I chose "Saad Khandakar" who is a renowned young artist in my country who also just debuted but doesn't have a wiki article yet. He's mostly famous for singing songs in multiple languages. He recently received a national award for a soundtrack on a tv drama. I know that it's my first article and maybe I'm unable to write all details about him perfectly but I can try to improve the page. Can you not nominate the article for deletion?

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sazzadhassan (talkcontribs) 21:40, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Hello and thanks for your message. The reference from Protom Alo was removed because it did not mention Khandakar anywhere in the text. The "WorldNews.com" reference was removed because it was written by a user and not a journalist (see the note "Community news via WN by mudassarali143" at the bottom) and is therefore not a reliable source per WP:USERG. Therefore at the moment the article does not demonstrate that Khandakar is notable. You say he recently won an award, but which award was it?
As for wanting to improve the article, please continue to do so. The discussion at Articles for Deletion (which you are also free to contribute to) will take several days to generate consensus. You can help reinforce that the article should stay by making the article better in that time. If you have any questions please see the Wikipedia Teahouse which has many volunteers that can answer your questions as a new editor. (Also, please remember to sign your Wikipedia messages with four tildes like this: ~~~~)) Regards, RA0808 talkcontribs 21:52, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of Donald James Le Roy

There was no time to contest the speedy deletion because it was done so quickly. I didn't even get a chance to go there and save what I wrote. How do I found what I wrote? I spent a lot of time on it and not all of it was from those sites you mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr. Universe (talkcontribs) 00:44, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

@Dr. Universe: Hi and thanks for your message! Speedy deletions of articles due to copyright violations are normally done quite quickly for legal reasons (see WP:CV for more information). If you would like a copy of the text you can request that by posting a message at the talk page of User:Discospinster, the administrator who deleted the article.
