February 2021[edit]

Hello, I'm Ahmetlii. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2021 Russian protests, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Ahmetlii (talk) 15:30, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I will add a source from the KPRF website.Potugin (talk) 15:31, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

Not that I am opposed to your edits, but that would be a much better source on the subject. My very best wishes (talk) 19:53, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

OK, feel free to add it to the article. I'm a frequent reader of Illaryonov's blog, not that I'd agree with everything he writes. Potugin (talk) 20:53, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think he just discredited himself (unfortunately, many Russians in US believe the same). I prefer interviews by Dmitry Gordon with different people he invites. My very best wishes (talk) 22:08, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there's no point in condemning someone completely just because he has expressed controversial views on some issue or you don't agree with him at all in something. E.g. Illaryonov also has non-mainstream views as to anthropogenic climate warming. And Navalny had his nationalist past.Potugin (talk) 12:20, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am not a fan of Navalny, but for a different reason. He was not telling whole truth like Politkovskaya, Litvinenko or even Rybkin (meaning the events in 1999). But this is easy to judge from here. If he did, we know what it means. But that does not matter for him now. My very best wishes (talk) 14:24, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Parizhskiy vestnik moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Parizhskiy vestnik, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your recent edit[edit]

This is unacceptable for several reasons. First, you accuse me of "pushing" some ideas. Accusation of misbehaviour is a personal attack, and if such a statement is placed to an edit summary, you cannot withdraw it. In future, please, be more cautious with edit summaries. Second, as I already explained in my edit summary, infoboxes are just article's summaries, and the article tells nothing about Marxism-Leninism as a "motive". Therefore, my edit is in agreement with our guidelines, whereas yours is not. Third, you write about "Maoism", whereas the statement added by you tells about a much broader category, Marxism-Leninism. Therefore, your edit is inconsistent with your rationale. I suggest you to self-revert and join a talk page discussion instead.--Paul Siebert (talk) 00:50, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 11[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nationalist Liberal Party, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independent Liberal Party. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:59, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Eastern Europe or the Balkans. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Well, thanks for notifying me, but most of the (political) topics I'm interested in seem to be under some "general discretionary sanctions" and I'm already aware of the necessity of being cautious. What about the "500/30 rule and Poland" tho? I would need to dig in some more Wikihistory I guess.Potugin (talk) 20:14, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks! So, thus far it seems I have actually not violated this rule (or rather: ruling?), and I will keep away from 1939-145 topics until I'm eligible at one point in the future.Potugin (talk) 20:29, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Another alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Uyghur genocide. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has enacted a more stringent set of rules. Any administrator may impose sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Thanks for notifying me, but I won't touch the article itself anyway. Even my energy has limits :) Potugin (talk) 04:48, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
