Attaching references[edit]

Hi Plantton, here’s a late reply to your previous question on how to attach references.

First, make sure that the source you’re going to use is not categorised as “unreliable” on this list. If you can’t find your source on that page, you may still use it (e.g., many Chinese newspapers’ sites aren’t there but can still be used). On the contrary, if it’s categorised as “unreliable” on that list, we won’t use it. Second, to format your references, you can use tools like:

As a side, there seems to be variation in citation styles for different pages, and people usually referred to those as WP:CITEVAR. I can never understand them the differences between the formats of those citation methods or how to use them correctly though. And this is a useful page to learn more about the formats. All I’ve mentioned above are for adding references to the articles. To add a link to the talk page, as you may have already known, is relatively simple. Just paste the link, or, if you want it short, put the URL inside a square blanket, e.g., [Your URL] [1]. --Dustfreeworld (talk) 23:19, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reminder. I will take that into account. Plantton (talk) 15:11, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warmest congratulations on the festive season! May the spirit of Christmas bring you peace, joy, and happiness throughout the coming year. (Though I haven't figured out how to post a card here) ;) Plantton (talk) 22:15, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
