Welcome[edit]

Hi - welcome to Wikipedia. I'm Girth Summit, an administrator here. I noticed that you have edited a number of different articles to capitalise the word 'president'. Please take a moment to review MOS:CAPITALISATION, for general treatment of capital letters, and MOS:JOB for this specific issue. In a nutsehll, we only capitalise words like 'president' when they are used as part of someone's name: so, it would be 'President Biden', but 'the president of the United States'. It's a bit nuanced, but the guidance at the MOS:JOB link is pretty helpful; in my head, I apply the rule that if the phrase is receded by a word like 'a' or 'the', it shouldn't be capitalised. Hope that makes sense; if you read through that guidance and still aren't sure, drop me a note on my talk. Cheers Girth Summit (blether) 22:17, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi- thank you for informing me on the matter. I apologize if I have caused any issues with my editing. I will review all grammar rules for proper capitalization in any of my future edits. Again I profusely apologize as I didn’t mean to cause any inconvenience. Thank you and have a nice day. Pingenseto (talk) 16:38, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Pingenseto! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Pupusa several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Pupusa, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Escape Orbit (Talk) 18:16, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the heads up. I will do my best to site the information needed to justify my claim. I’m sorry for any inconveniences I have caused you, or any others working to make free information accessible. Please accept my apology, and thank you. Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Pupusa. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 18:02, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
