re. your comment on Wild Boar Fell

You may be right - i.e. it is a long way from the Lakeland Fells. But it may be relevant that in "Wainwright in the Limestone Dales", he describes Wild Boar as "the dominant height between the Lake District and the main Pennine range". This Fell is not in Lakeland, is not in the Yorkshire Dales, and is not part of the Pennine range - although is looks over all three. Maybe all that the whole of that second introductory sentence needs to be rewritten, rather than looking for cittation/references! John Hamilton (talk) 10:51, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks John. I have to admit I've got a copy of that book (superb photos by Geldard), but I missed that text. I was probably too busy looking at the photos! I'd always considered Wild Boar Fell to be part of the Pennines, but I'll read Wainwright again and maybe have go at a rewrite as you suggest.
