I don´t get it[edit]

I know you like the Spira article, I know and apreciate how much work you and the rest put into it. it is BECAUSE I apreciate that that I want to make the article better. It is not to piss you or Ryu off. I believe you are taking this way to personal and that is not the point. All I want to do is improving what I consider is a good article with the potencial to be great. I think I've been more than polite to the point of practically asking permission to edit it. Ploease understand what I'm saying. I will improve that article trought time, the only thing stoping me from doing it now is that I respect the work you put into it and I would like for you to help me (seeing as you have more experience in wikipedia than me). Is it really that wrong to try and improve something? why does the tought that somebody actually likes your work and wishes to improve upon it pisses you off so much? I see no reason to it and frankly I'm getting tired of the collective attitude of the current editors in the article. It is simply something that makes no sense, not letting an article grow... Of course I should stirr things up. If I feel an article can be improved then I will do what I can to improve it. Not that I do not plan on re writing the whole article or undoing your work. I plan on IMPROVING. Wich is not the same as re writing. I agree with Seancdaug that your attitude is not the best one. I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'll write the parts of the article I think could be added on my own and then add them all at once so you can see how it looks as a whole (instead of writing one parragraph today and one tomorrow). on another hand you keep in mind that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal blog or something like that.Nnfolz 05:20, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to be under the impression that I plan on writing the whole thing. That is not the case. What i'm going to do is add a few parragraphs here and there, and reword a couple of sentences. Nothing big, just a bit better. Of course, because of my lack of experience i wikipedia that small task is something that would take me considering time to do on my own because I'm still learning the tricks to format the links, inline citations, etc. correctly. I've edited the article and then reverted the changes. Check the history and look at the version I made so you can get a preview of what i'm trying to achive. Yes, some sections are incomplete, but something like that is what i'm trying to achieve. Hey, man...[edit]

If you feel like going is the best thing for you, then I won't try to talk you out of it, but I won't pretend to be happy with the decision. And did you mean you're leaving period? Or just the page you created? Either way would really suck in my opinion, but I hope it's not the former.

Either way, I hope it's really the best thing for you, man. I can see that this really frustrates you. I think it's more the worry than anything else that's getting to you, and I hate to see it. I do think taking a small break might be best, just to let you relax some, and give you time to think things over.

Anyway, whatever you decide, I'll do my best to maintain the style and atmosphere you originally created when you wrote that thing, despite whatever additions may come along. I don't see why it can't have both the spirit it currently evokes and be encyclopedic at the same time, even if most people think an encyclopedia is supposed to read like their car's owner manual.

And despite how you might be feeling, don't regret submitting your work. It's really a great piece of writing and one of the best articles on this site. Be proud of yourself. Hey, it was the reason I decided to join, because I thought it would be a joy to work on articles of something I like and help turn them into something of that caliber. Sexual intercourse in chobits.[edit]

Tedchnically, sexual intercourse is the ability to engage in sexual activity, albeit without the possibility of pregnancy. I imagine there should be something pointed out in the article on the differences between the manga and the anime. Bare in mind that in the anime, her reset button is interfered with several times, but she has the ability to override it's effect.. obviously, if she were to want sexual intercourse with hideki, she would probably have something to override the reset, seen as usually, the effect of a reset switch is hard coded into a circuit board, or what have you. Re: Wow[edit]

Yeah, I am very lucky. To be honest, I was never decent at talking to anyone -- mustless girls -- until after I'd already lucked out and gotten a girlfriend. I met her on the internet when I was 17 and she wasn't quite 16 (see, video games are good for you; met her on a forum). It took me about a year from there before I really began to feel confident in myself and could interact with others close to normally (very secluded as a younger person), but I was surprised by how I changed. As time went on, and she continued making me feel good about myself, eventually girls would not only approach me -- with me actually being comfortable with the situation -- but it seemed like they were doing it more than ever at that point. XD

I remembered something that a guy I'd known had told me once: "You'll never have more girls talking to you than until you already have a girlfriend." XD But she's made me happier than I ever thought I'd be, and I'm so thankful. Neither of us really had good childhoods and both of us honestly have gone through a lot of depression and have very dependent personalities, which, I think, let us latch onto one another cosumately. So for me, the little girl we've made together, means so much more than I can describe. I just want to make sure she has the childhood her mother should have. All the happiness she deserves. So I spoil her a lot. That'll come back to bite me in the ass, I'm sure. XD

Some advice I'd give you, if you're in college (might already be behind you?), see if there's an anime club or something like that. Those can be a good way to meet girls with similar interests (despite popular belief, the ones that are all anal about a certain word out of a thousand being translated inaccurately aren't all scary). If you're not in college, then you could probably still go to a local campus if they hold those sorts of clubs. Despite my own path to fortune, I wouldn't necessarily recommend trying to find her on the internet, unless it's going to be some kind of local community thing, as -- particularly if it's long-distance -- that can bring a whole new set of frustrations with it (I'd know; I moved 1200 miles from where I grew up, just to give you an idea XD).

What you really need to try before even getting into the situation where you'll be trying to think of the right things to say to a girl is finding the things that make you feel good about yourself, whatever they may be, and doing that, then going out and letting yourself be in that situation where you will be around girls. If it's playing video games and kicking ass or watching the ending to a certain FF or watching a certain movie or whatever. Do that, so you're already feeling something good inside. I won't tell you what to say, because I honestly don't know. There's no one thing to say, 'cause girls have many, many, many personalities and they all need to hear different things.

And if you do happen upon one who's intelligent and artsy, but has a little issue with cutting herself, that's not necessarily going to be a bad situation (voice of experience). Don't let it scare you off if you like her otherwise. It's just that she needs something to feel good about, someone she can be sure of and depend on, who she sees genuinely cares about her happiness. There's a reason there's something of a stereotype of artsy girls who do that, I think; it's because they're trying to create something that features what they've been incapable of making for their own life: something perfect and stable. Especially when their work shows chaotic things, I think that's the case. And, of course, they don't ever feel satisfied with what create, because there is no perfect picture, just as there's no perfect novel, and no perfect song. There's wonderful, and while one person may call it perfect, another wouldn't. Even with vast amounts of priase for something they make, though, they won't regard it as perfect unless they feel like they have what they wanted in their life, and that's, of course, what we all seek.

So many of us are dependent in one way or another, but then there's those of us who define the term, and I really think that those of us who are like that need one another. Someone of like mind and heart. I don't know if you're like that, as well, feeling a need for a girl to be whole, but if so, then -- unfortunate as the thought may seem -- you may need to find a girl of similar personality. What you'd both want to be given is stability, loyalty and constant affection, and you'd both want to give that as well. That's how it was with my wife and I.

I guess I've gone on for a while now, so I'll shut up. XD I wish you the best of luck in this and all other areas, man. Really. Good luck. That's a happiness I'd hope everyone could have.

If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. About Media's eyes in episode 9[edit]

Media does open her eyes in episode 9; you should watch more carefully. It is at about 6:18, for only 2 frames (that is, for only 1/12 seconds). Use special software to stop at that point and watch again.

Might I point out that a small chunk of the world is not American, and so does not use American spellings? In fact, in these secluded corners of the world, American spellings are even regarded as 'incorrect'! Edit summaries are good, but using loaded terms in them is less so. Photographs of Georgia[edit]

I notice you have contributed some rather nice photographs to Wikipedia. There is a particular statue in Georgia that Wikipedia lacks a free use photograph of: the original Spirit of the American Doughboy is in Nashville, Georgia, facing East on the Northwest corner of Berrien County Courthouse Square – near the intersection of Marion Avenue and Davis Street, and can be seen on this page. A free photograph would be wonderful, I wondered whether you happened to have one in your collection or, if you ever happen to head out that way, you would be able to take one? Re: Dita[edit]

I have almost 3000 items in my watchlist, including 1125 images. I usually check images to see if they are being under the Wikipedia Fair use policy. According to its third point:

The amount of copyrighted work used should be as little as possible. Low-resolution images should be used instead of high-resolution images (especially images that are so high-resolution that they could be used for piracy). Do not use multiple images or media clips if one will serve the purpose adequately.

I tag any image that has width or height of over 800 pixels, and let the ones who usually reduce decide if I have tagged it correctly or not. See a discussion here.

This is not against your efforts, but just an ongoing effort to keep Wikipedia contents as free as possible. The user may expect to find a larger image a click away, but there are sites where the user can get them. -- ReyBrujo 03:31, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the 800 is the arbitrary point I set for myself, although that is not set in stone. Others think my limit is too high, and that it should be not bigger than the necessary for the article, as you can also see in that discussion. And that is why we can't do certain things for ourselves, but instead rely on experienced people (as when you request an article creation, ask for an article deletion, or report copyvio infraction). The tags are used to contact those experienced people to review the image and decide whether the article or image is being correctly used or not. If you believe the 900px image is fine, then leave the fair use reduce tag, and wait to see what someone checking the image thinks about it. As for the ability to sell the DVD, that is true. However, as you can see in that other discussion, I would always tag an 800 pixel or bigger this way. The same way someone believes adding a determined character to an article enhances Wikipedia, I believe reducing the size of images, especially when there is no difference between having a 300px or a 900px one does as well. -- ReyBrujo 03:51, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Piccolo, long time no see back in FPC. I noticed that way back in March, Raven4x4x asked you why you hadn't submitted any images in so long and you said that it was due to being winter and bug/flowerless, but it is now Fall and still no sign of you. Did the bugs and flowers not come out this summer? ;) Anyway, I did like your photography and we have a distinct lack of good quality images being produced these days, so on behalf of everyone I invite you back, even if just to judge other images - after all, we're on our way to winter again... Where in the US do you live, anyway? I noticed something on your talk page refering to Georgia.. I spent 2 months in Georgia last winter and will be living there as of July next year. Haha I know the feeling. I've been living in London since January and although you'd imagine there is an infinite variety of interesting things to take photos of here, I've been lacking in inspiration. Beyond the typical touristy shots, its quite a difficult city to photograph in - nature is a bit lacking (understatement!), the streets are often quite narrow so it is difficult to move back far enough for a good perspective of a building, etc. You never did mention where in the US you are but if thats for a reason, no problem. Persocom and Wife[edit]

My point is that the way it is worded is grammatically incorrect for the picture, and also Mr. Ueda is not introducing his wife to us. The caption is not speech, it is a description.
