Dafur links[edit]

In adding to the statement above: Maybe you were just honestly trying to raise awareness for the situation in Darfur. This is a noble thing, but Wikipedia is not the place to do it.

You linked that photo gallery to a long list of pages somehow related to Darfur. The requirements for external links are quite high, and there should be few. Something that is somehow related to the subject doesn't automatically qualify it as an external link; there must be substantial additional information on the subject. Therefore I've reverted those links.

Just in case that you are involved with the linked site, I would suggest another way to help Wikipedia: Release some of the pictures under an open license (preferably on Wikimedia Commons), so that they can be used as illustrations in the relevant articles. Good to see that you're making useful contributions to Wikipedia. However, I've removed the link again from the Page of the Justice and Equality Movement. I've looked at the page (and I like the pictures) - there are some that show members of that movement, but the site does not provide additional in-depth information about that movement. If you think I'm wrong about this and the link should be included, please try discussing it on the talk page first. (And please do not mark such "disputed" edits as minor).
