NPR Newsletter No.17

Hello Philipnelson99/Archives/2019,

News
Discussions of interest
  • Two elements of CSD G6 have been split into their own criteria: R4 for redirects in the "File:" namespace with the same name as a file or redirect at Wikimedia Commons (Discussion), and G14 for disambiguation pages which disambiguate zero pages, or have "(disambiguation)" in the title but disambiguate a single page (Discussion).
  • {{db-blankdraft}} was merged into G13 (Discussion)
  • A discussion recently closed with no consensus on whether to create a subject-specific notability guideline for theatrical plays.
  • There is an ongoing discussion on a proposal to create subject-specific notability guidelines for chemicals and organism taxa.
Reminders
  • NPR is not a binary keep / delete process. In many cases a redirect may be appropriate. The deletion policy and its associated guideline clearly emphasise that not all unsuitable articles must be deleted. Redirects are not contentious. See a classic example of the templates to use. More templates are listed at the R template index. Reviewers who are not aware, do please take this into consideration before PROD, CSD, and especially AfD because not even all admins are aware of such policies, and many NAC do not have a full knowledge of them.
NPP Tools Report
  • Superlinks – allows you to check an article's history, logs, talk page, NPP flowchart (on unpatrolled pages) and more without navigating away from the article itself.
  • copyvio-check – automatically checks the copyvio percentage of new pages in the background and displays this info with a link to the report in the 'info' panel of the Page curation toolbar.
  • The NPP flowchart now has clickable hyperlinks.

Sandeep Naik

I want to add more information to the Wiki page of Sandeep Naik. Please guide why the changes I made have been removed.KausPatil (talk) 08:42, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

@KausPatil: Information icon Hello, I'm Philipnelson99. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of an article. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.

Stop Disrupting my consturctive editing

Please stop disruptive editing. I am a pornographic expert. I know what I am doing. The Pornstar Epidemic (talk) 08:50, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

I am here to help Wikipedia with more information about pornography. The Pornstar Epidemic (talk) 08:51, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
@The Pornstar Epidemic:, please stop adding spam links to the body of the article. That is not helping. Philipnelson99 (talk) 08:52, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
They are not spam links. Stop harassing me. You are being racist. The Pornstar Epidemic (talk) 08:56, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

March 2019

Information icon Hello, I'm The Pornstar Epidemic. I noticed that you recently removed all content from a page, Blacked, and redirected it to another article. Please do not do this. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. As a rule, if you discover a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If a page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you wish to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. The Pornstar Epidemic (talk) 08:59, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

I have not vandalized Blacked. I have only created the article again. The Pornstar Epidemic (talk) 09:00, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
You added external links in the body of the article, and this is against Wikipedia policy. Furthermore, you should open a discussion on the article's talk page or possibly create a new article instead of editing the redirect. ~ Philipnelson99 (talk) 09:09, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
Those are references, the links I added. I am not here to vandalize. The Pornstar Epidemic (talk) 09:10, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
@The Pornstar Epidemic: See WP:ELNO. Your edits linked to pornographic content on an external website. That's clearly a violation of Wikipedia policy. Furthermore, you accused me of racism and that is considered WP:AOHA. ~ Philipnelson99 (talk) 09:20, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
Look, Philip Nelson, you think you are so good because you are white. I tell you something. You are equal to everyone else. Stop being a racist. You are from South Carolina, that place is full of the worst kinds of people. I bet you endorse slavery. The end of the United Kingdom (talk) 13:46, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
If you want to settle this out, you better tell me sorry for all the bad stuff your ancestors did. Then we can be friends. The end of the United Kingdom (talk) 13:49, 26 March 2019 (UTC)

Paul Is Dead

Thanks for your note. I whole heartedly agree with your comment and didn't expect my change to last. However, I do suspect that I am correct and am excited beyond belief about the possibility this being the actual truth. Please pardon my nerdgasm. In the future, I'll express my enthusiasm in a more appropriate venue. Your pal, Erin — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.141.204.89 (talk) 16:54, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
