Kent Emmons[edit]

Content in Wikipedia must generally be phrased in one's own words, with confirmation from secondary sources. The tone should also be neutral (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view), which means no informal phrases such as "Not Just Another Hollywood Suit" or "He recently participated in a HUGE fundraiser..." — furthermore, terms like "recently" should be avoided since they're so vague. How recent is recently anyway? Other phrases, such as "a highly successful direct response television talk show that brings new and innovative products to the market." are promotional in tone. Wikipedia is not meant to promote, but rather to present things in a neutral fashion.

I reduced the article to a couple sentences because I had planned to go back and rebuild it with other sources. If you would like, I will see how much of the information I can re-add to the article. Kent Emmons' own website may be cited as a source within the text, as a means of verifying to the reader that the information is accurate. Further, reading wp:COI might be good. Also, since the information is published on a copyrighted website, it is indeed copyrighted, and WP will not be able to use it. Ideally, WP articles are written by people who are simply interested in the subject, rather than closely associated with the subject.- Sinneed 17:32, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Submitting copyrighted material[edit]

Please see Wikipedia:CP#Copyright_owners_who_submitted_their_own_work_to_Wikipedia. Please note that you cannot submit copyrighted material for someone else, the copyright holder must do it themself. Woogee (talk) 18:50, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Kaulshikha for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. - Sinneed 14:01, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
