Deletion discussion about Conserve Italia[edit]

Hello, Peter39c, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Siroxo, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Conserve Italia, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Conserve Italia.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Siroxo}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Request reason:

I have absolutely not copied, or adapted the company story in my own words, I have no connection with the company, I do not take money to write articles and other slimy things. I wrote simply to give accurate information but without copying anything, the text is different, if there is any similar part, I can change it. But blocking me indefinitely is abuse. The text as a whole is different, totally different. It may be that due to fatigue I have inserted a word similar or equal to the translated text. But my aim is not to advertise the company, but to give readers accurate information. I am in absolute good faith. Furthermore, I would have added information that would not have been present on the company website. I always write objectively and exhaustively. Very pertinent to information sources. the company history is too long-winded or detailed, what's the problem we change it, correct it, shorten it, but I don't accept this blocking myself because I'm in good faith. I worked a lot to be accurate, and trying to complete the articles quickly but also costs a lot of effort, even often as in this case poorly rewarded. I apologize if I have unknowingly infringed copyright. I ask for immediate release for my good faith. Or at least a limit on my user blocking. Peter39c (talk) 14:05, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This is false. Your edits to Conserve Italia were copied and/or closely paraphrased from here. It was blatant. More direct copying than paraphrasing, though even close paraphrasing would have been sufficient to block you. Yamla (talk) 19:40, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Note - You have been previously warned about using copyrighted material. Conserve Italia is closely paraphrased from the company's own history web page. You must write in your own words. -- Whpq (talk) 14:39, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No I just saw that it was move in draft, I wanted to finish quickly, I didn't see the other notes because I was disconnected. I was tired and wanted to finish the article. And when I logged back in I was already blocked. Peter39c (talk) 18:59, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The translated text that appears on the site of the company's history is not the same as the text I wrote on the article, the two texts are not the same, it may be that in the rush to complete the article something remained similar but it is not a copy paste. But because instead of giving an alert, the account has been blocked indefinitely. This is an abuse, a clear abuse of a position of privilege instead of responsibility. I also apologized because my intention was only to give accurate information, not to promote the company in any way. I made a mistake for my haste, I was tired and wanted to finish the article quickly. Also because for me it represented an uninteresting article, I just wanted to be very accurate. Unfortunately, this is also an error, but due to tiredness and the desire to finish the article quickly.
I see that apologies are not enough anyway, I also asked for a non-indefinite but temporary block.
Then I simply wanted to add an article, an item not present and not destroy information present or create damage or mystify reality or worse, vandalize. The article was not deemed eligible for copyright infringement, patience, the article is deleted, but don't block my account indefinitely! this is abuse! Peter39c (talk) 19:59, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The article was not deemed eligible for copyright infringement is contradicted by the editor who tagged it for deletion as a copyright violation (Liz who is an admin), me, the deleting admin who reviewed and agreed it was a copyright violation, and the Yamla, the admin who reviewed your unblock request. Your talk page history shows that this is not the first difficulties with copyright, and you have been previously warned about copyright issues. -- Whpq (talk) 00:01, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Whpq - this user has been caught socking as Doriath77. Might be worth looking at their creations from a copyvio perspective? Girth Summit (blether) 09:03, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it would given the history of close paraphrasing / copying. The challenge will be with Italian language sources that have been translated. I can put that on my to-do list. -- Whpq (talk) 12:33, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Policy would allow for them simply to delete them all per WP:G5; I'd be comfortable doing that if checking them for copyvios is a pain? Girth Summit (blether) 17:46, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, checking would be a pain for a couple of reasons. The use of Italian language sources means it is more difficult to use a tool like Earwig to assist in the work. As well, the history needs checking as I suspect this editor copies material in and then makes alterations in subsequent edits so it isn't as simple as just comparing the current version of the article to sources. -- Whpq (talk) 17:50, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
