Attempting to add salted material to lists[edit]

Please refrain from attempting to make unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you were at List of unofficial Mario media. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been disallowed by an edit filter. Pop culture[edit]

I reverted your edit to Office Assistant adding that Clippy appeared in The Amazing World of Gumball, as the only source I could find briefly mentioned it, which is against the guideline that, for example, "an article in Polygon reviewing the latest episode of The Mandalorian which does not go into any detail about bone broth but simply mentions that Baby Yoda drank some in that episode is not sufficient to include in the article because it does not provide any in-depth coverage of the subject of the article". Thank you! QuietCicada - Talk 14:33, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The episode Clippy appears in is called The Void, which is an episode from Season 3 of the show. The context of the scene is that Gumball tells his friend that everything in the titular void is a bad idea, causing Clippy to suddenly appear and ask if Gumball needs help writing an email. You can watch the scene in its entirety on this upload to the official Gumball Youtube channel: [1] PeteTheRock155 (talk) 20:59, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry for the confusion. Basically, the guideline says that if there isn't a reliable secondary source (eg. an article from a reliable outlet, but not an official upload) that dedicates at least a paragraph or so to the specific element (in this case, Clippy), pop culture entries can't be added. This rule is in place to make sure that all pop culture entries are actually significant (because a secondary source recognized them). QuietCicada - Talk 00:08, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
