Ash falls vs ash rains[edit]

re your recent change to Mount Tambora I am wondering whether it wasn't intended to mean rain fall mixed with ash??? Merbabu 03:15, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is certainly possible. A modern example would be Pinatubo, where ash fall mixed with rain was very destructive. If there is reason to believe that ash fall mixed with rain occurred during the Tambora eruption, then I would recommend making this explicit so as to contrast this phenomenon with simple (i.e., "dry") ash fall.
