Polish football team names[edit]

I see you have changed some of the Polish football team names, such as RKS Raków Częstochowa, WKS Śląsk Wrocław. Up until your changes the only teams to include the "Klub Sportowy" at the beginning of the articles name were those whose names were not concise enough, such as MKS Cracovia as their name does not include the city they are from. I have also noticed you have missed out on changing the page name of some of the so called "big teams" in Poland. This change either needs to cover 100% of Polish football teams, or in my opinion it needs to be reverted. Thanks. OLLSZCZ (talk) 10:51, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mr @OLLSZCZ. In my edits, I followed the official name of the club, changing the name of the article, only when the full name was in the crest, which indicated some solidification of the full name (as RKS Raków or WKS Śląsk have). I did not include clubs that do not have it - hence the lack of inclusion in the changes of such clubs as (for example) Legia Warsaw or Pogoń Szczecin. Paradygmaty (talk) 10:56, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As per your own standards, you have still missed some clubs. Also, whether it is included on the badge or not, either all clubs need to go by their full names, or they all go by what they are simply known as, as was the case previously. OLLSZCZ (talk) 11:01, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@OLLSZCZ - I don't see such a rule. More, I see that some of the articles have already been punctuated with prefixes from the coats of arms in the past, so the edits are as justified as possible, deserving to be taken into account. Of course, I am open to discussing these issues more widely in the community. Paradygmaty (talk) 15:55, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Generally those who have abbreviations (not from the clubs badge, but from the clubs name) have come when there has been a possible disambiguation on the subject. But this has been done in all cases where an issue may already arise.
However if this is something you're wanting to discuss more widely it is a conversation I'd like to be involved in. I have also gone through the Polish champions and abbreviated their names as to what they should therefore be changed to (I have taken these from their official names, however this can go against "common name" where one issue can arise).
