Heather Gell

Just read the article. I nice piece of work, congratulations. Doug butler (talk) 00:03, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

@Doug butler, thank you. And thanks for restoring her marriage status. It is important info so far as I am concerned and was included in her ADB bio, which is suitably encyclopaedic. Oronsay (talk) 01:44, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

Introducing editor

Hi Oronsay! Can I please introduce you to user:LAH109 who would love to join your Wednesday meetings. I will send an email introducing you a little later.-- CooeeCapella (talk) 17:46, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

I moved the above message from top of my Talk page and signed and dated it.

Margot Neville

Thanks for the added info. I've prettied up the PIX pic but can't figure out how to replace it on Commons. Must confess to being an absolute duffer where that sort of thing is involved. Doug butler (talk) 23:32, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

Good one, @Doug butler. Margot Neville has been on one of my To do lists for ages so I was pleased to see that you had written about "her". I have no experience transferring pix direct from WP, so would probably download to my computer and then upload as a new version replacing the old Commons image by using the same name as the original. Oronsay (talk) 07:57, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
@Doug butler, I think I misunderstood you. To replace the existing image in Commons, simply upload your version with the same name and I think you should have the opportunity of replacing the original as a new version. Oronsay (talk) 08:01, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, it worked fine when I tried a second time.Doug butler (talk) 03:41, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
I guessed that must've been the case, @Doug butler. I only realised yesterday afternoon that we'd both been editing the bio at the same time. I had no edit conflicts with you and hope I didn't disrupt your work too much. Oronsay (talk) 04:11, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
Nah, I hate it when that happens but we were transparent to each other. Doug butler (talk) 04:23, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
