May 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Frederick Brychan Rees. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Shadow311 (talk) 16:03, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at British jump racing Champion Jockey. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. -- Fyrael (talk) 16:15, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for your message. While I understand your concern about my edit, I can confirm that this was not vandalism. I have just submitted a draft article for the jockey in question and, in anticipation of its publication, I updated this list so that the link will work once approved (assuming that it indeed is). The individual in question was, properly, called Frederick Brychan Rees, though he was professionally referred to as Dick Rees, Fred Rees and F. B. Rees. He was most commonly referred to by the first of these, hence my reason for giving the article the title "Dick Rees". The draft article in question is fully referenced and confirms as much. Many thanks. Ojwelch (talk) 16:30, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've just come here to see if there was a vandalism warning, and I can see there is one - I wanted to add my support to @Ojwelch's edit changing Fred Rees to Dick Rees, as mentioned he was most usually known as Dick Rees. Please accept my apologies for reverting you, @Fyrael. Bcp67 (talk) 20:14, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
