March 2017[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from John Fogerty. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - Mlpearc (open channel) 00:12, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Synthesizer, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. - Mlpearc (open channel) 00:13, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

April 2017[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Incesticide, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Laser brain (talk) 19:01, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

National varieties of English[edit]

Information icon In a recent edit to the page Bast fibre, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to India, use Indian English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. ~ GB fan 23:04, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Numbers[edit]

Hiya. According to our manual of style, "integers greater than nine expressible in one or two words may be expressed either in numerals or in words." So the changes you are making such as 19th to nineteenth are generally unnecessary (as well as a waste of time and resources). --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 19:19, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Riley Martin[edit]

Maybe you didn't read the discussion on the talk page as I suggested. You should. There's an outline in there of the evidence that the date of death isn't reliable, and that subsequent sources all took the date of death either from Wikipedia (where it was added by an anon IP within hours of the announcement on the Howard Stern Show) or from the newspaper article that was published hours after the Wikipedia entry. I even emailed the paper to ask if I could contact the author of the piece, but they told me it was written by an intern and they didn't have the name of which one. For more detail, please read the talk page discussion. If you have new evidence, please let me know. Otherwise, the date cannot be added as it is unreliable. Thank you. Low in High-School[edit]

Per your edits to Low in High-School, please read MOS:CT about capitalising song titles and WP:LQ in regards to including punctuation inside quotation marks around song titles. Thank you. Ss112 18:51, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

January 2018[edit]

Please stop continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Lovers in a Dangerous Time, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. {{citation needed}} should only be removed when a reference is supplied. At the very least, an explanation should be made when removing them. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:13, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Saint Louis Zoo, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies) does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! October 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Hulmem. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Geoff Emerick, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! hulmem (talk) 02:55, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. You continue to change spelled-out words to numerals. Please see MOS:SPELL09 where it's noted that in these cases, either is permissible, and MOS:RETAIN for the general philosophy that these sorts of wholesale changes shouldn't be made. Please also see the section above where this was already pointed out to you. This has apparently been going on for some time. Please acknowledge that you understand the issue here.Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 16:40, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I came here to say the above and see you have already been told. Please respect Wikipedia consensus.Charles (talk) 11:28, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've blocked you indefinitely for continuing the problem behavior described at ANI and because you have refused to communicate about these concerns. Wikipedia:Communication is required. I did ask you to not edit further. To be unblocked, you must address the community's concerns and convince us that the WP:MOS problems will not continue. Any admin should feel free to unblock or change the block, or to modify unblock conditions at their discretion. Dlohcierekim (talk) 04:16, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
