Encyclopedic

The article said: Climate tipping points are of particular interest in reference to concerns about global warming in the modern era.

I wrote: Climate tipping points are of particular concern because of global warming which is occurring in the modern era. You reverted back to the original claiming it is more encyclopedic. Tipping points are of huge concern. Describing them as merely of interest downplays their significance. I don't see anything encyclopedic about that. Yaklib (talk) 07:41, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

@Yaklib: It was just my personal preference. It's not a big deal, I just thought the previous version read slightly better. In particular I just thought stacked subordinate clauses ("A because B which is C") sounded a bit clunky. I don't really mind either way. (talk page stalker) @Yaklib: first, please allow me to say I'm not mad and I'm not complaining. I'm just trying to do a little friendly process teaching. The best place to discuss content changes is at the talk page of the article being discussed. That's because there are multiple editors watching each page, and third parties may want to join the discussion. If you want to get a specific editor's attention, you may include the optional template to "ping" them, which is how I pinged you in this comment. With respect to the edit you two are discussing, I'm mildly troubled by "of particular concern"... which is true..... on the other hand, we also have to do what we do within the requirements of our neutrality policy. I haven't made up my mind what I think about that turn of phrase, and if I decide to follow up on that I will do so at the article in a bold edit, or on the article talk page.
