- Thanks for the kitteh :). Good to see you around the place too. It's fun seeing people's names in edit summaries and watchlists and thinking "I remember them!"
- Life is nice. Looking forward to coming home to England in not-very-many days! Keep it warm for me? In other news, I have recently definitely spent more time prettifying my userpage than improving the encyclopedia, which is probably not a good thing. My plan is to work on the Brunch article, but for some reason every time I try I get hungry and have to go and cook bacon. And possibly waffles. - Me? i'm good thanks! I decided to take on more gay topics through random searching (there's a few obvious things missing (List of gay sex positions for one)) and haven't done much else.

- I guess that could have worked too! I saw another similar article earlier. Seems like a bot trying to get spam links past the automatic filters by surrounding them with interesting-looking nonsense text, hence why I went for G1 (for the nonsense) and G11 (for the advertising). —Noiratsi (talk) 18:11, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
I have reviewed Dizzy fingers, which you tagged with a {{db-hoax}} tag. Please note that the page wasn't a blatant hoax; it was, however, a clear {{db-band}} page (see CSD A7). I also see that it was previously deleted - having been written by the same author, tagged by you as a {{db-hoax}}, and deleted under A7. - Thanks for your message. I guess this is a judgement call—I felt it was 'blatantly obvious' that it was a hoax, given the outlandish claims involving alligators and law-enforcement, frequent references to non-existent musical instruments, farcical names, complete lack of sources etc. However I can see that A7 might have been more appropriate and less controversial so I'll bear that in mind next time. —Noiratsi (talk) 16:38, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- Seriously, though, this is clearly confabulated. I would have deleted as nonsense years ago. When I first started, I put up a first draft that was deleted as nonsense. Now people say nonsense is just random keystrokes. As it is confabulated, it could be construed as a hoax. More charitably, as vandalism requires intent, it could be the user was trying to write their way out of writer's block or conducting a test edit. My favorite hoax concerned the shy and reclusive Pacific Northwest tree octopus.Also, one must check past versions of the article, to see if it has been usurped by a vandal. In trying to determine a hoax, one should look at the user's past contribs. Someone with a host of vandal warnings may be having us on. The hallmark of a hoax is fake ref's that link to wholy unrelated content and sometimes to Wikipedia articles. Sometimes you will find a copy-pasted article in which a fake subject's name has replaced the original. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 23:17, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
