File permission problem with File:Deep zone builder.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Deep zone builder.jpg,

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:24, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Strip till rig.jpg[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Strip till rig.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 18:57, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Question for administrator[edit]

Hi, thanks for cleaning up Talk:Darknet (file sharing). A couple comments:

  • It looks like you accidentally made the archive at Talk:Darknet (file sharing) Archive 1. I moved it to the correct subpage at Talk:Darknet (file sharing)/Archive 1 (otherwise it acts as the talk page for an article called "Darknet (file sharing) Archive 1"). With the correct location it is also detected and linked at the archive box.
  • Make sure to check that everything's in order before manually archiving. The page was vandalized just before you did so (I removed the inserted word from the archive).
  • You may wish to check out automatic page archiving. You've probably already come across Help:Archiving a talk page. About half way down is some code you can copy and paste onto a talk page to have either Miszabot or Cluebot III archive the page automatically. When I use it I tend to just copy/paste the Cluebot code and it works quite well.
  • I'm not certain at this point -- you may still be making edits -- but you may have removed some other users' comments from the talk page without archiving them. There are pretty limited circumstances in which it's ok to change or remove someone else's talk page comments (see WP:TPO). That a good faith request is already taken care of, for example, isn't one of the valid reasons. Easier to just add a comment to that effect and/or mark with Template:Done or Template:Notdone.

Sorry if any of this seems pedantic or unnecessary, and thanks for your work. --— Rhododendrites talk \\ 17:18, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Momentous Corporation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Endurance International Group[edit]

Wikians may overule the use of a source expert, as wikian consensus overules its use? This seems to disregard the guideline of reliable sources#Self-published expert sources, and some wikipedians seem to be disregarding this guideline.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not even sure what you're asking for here (and judging from how long this template has been open, neither is any other admin). If you require help from and administrator, please specify what actions you actually want us to take. Yunshui  14:10, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute Resolution Request[edit]

As a volunteer at the dispute resolution noticeboard, I closed your request for dispute resolution about sources. You were advised at the reliable source noticeboard to discuss on the article talk page. Please discuss on the article talk page before requesting dispute resolution. Orphaned non-free image File:Walmart Neighborhood Market logo.jpeg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Walmart Neighborhood Market logo.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. James086Talk 02:51, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Request for Endurance International Group article[edit]

Hi, I'm Melanie and I'm here on behalf of my employer, Endurance International Group, to propose updates to the Wikipedia article. I am hoping to find a neutral editor to review the proposed draft mentioned here. I won't edit the article directly because of my conflict of interest, but hope you might be able to help since you've been adding to the article recently. I am leaving talk page notes for the other editors I pinged before, too. Thanks for your consideration. Melanie from Endurance (talk) 14:54, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Melanie from Endurance:, I haven't edited the article "recently", not since 27 April 2015‎; all of my edits were undone by other editors. Two: The user space area doesn't show what edits were made--doesn't show the "view history" similar to an article or talk page history; I'm not going to spend time comparing the two articles word for word. Personally, I wouldn't put the article on the personal page not showing what edits were done; yet, I don't know the guidelines for a collaborative "proposed draft".

File permission problem with File:Strip tillage.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Strip tillage.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, BOT-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate your file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:01, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:KORQ-FM logo.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Former logo of radio station KORQ. No longer serving the purpose specified in its rationale (not serving as the primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the entity in question). Current use is WP:DECORATIVE. Has been replaced in the infobox by the station's new logo.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  ★  Bigr Tex 03:29, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
