July 2023[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Battle of Thermopylae. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. HistoryofIran (talk) 16:38, 2 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Inserting Uncited Information[edit]

Please provide reliable citation for any information you insert. Do you have a source to support the army strengths you inserted in the infoboxes for Battle of Pente Pigadia and Battle of Yenidje? Catlemur (talk) 09:33, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Each battalion at the battle of Pente Pigadia consisted of 1,000 men. At the battle of Yenidje the Greek army consisted of the army of Thessaly. The 5 divisions numbered around 100,000 men. You can search it at the page of Wikipedia itself. Have a good day Nickolas VL (talk) 10:33, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You realize that I rewrote both of those pages from scratch? The fact that the Army of Thessaly had 100,000 men on paper prior to the outbreak of the war does not mean 100,000 men fought at Yenidje. Some of those people were killed or wounded during the preceding actions or were not committed at all (only parts of some divisions participated in the battle). That's why I wrote x number of divisions instead of concrete number. Same goes for Pente Pigadia. Please provide a reliable source backing up what you insert, or stop drive by editing.--Catlemur (talk) 07:07, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK I see. I didn't want to create a problem, just wanted to add some details, I was trying to help. I will be adding sources I am pretty new in wikipedia so I need time to get used to this. I think some specific numbers should be added, instead of just putting the divisions or Battalions so people can have a cleaner understanding. Have a good one Nickolas VL (talk) 07:17, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Its alright, I understand that you have good intentions. I cited the official Greek Military History of the Balkan Wars and they did not provide a concrete number of participants. But of course if there is a good source available on the subject, I would rather give the exact number of participants rather than just write 3 divisions.--Catlemur (talk) 09:51, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Thanks for specifying. If I can find some more detailed sources in the future I will be adding them. Until then if I can help in some other way, let me know. Nickolas VL (talk) 09:59, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Driskos[edit]

The Redshirts were an international paramilitary organization not aligned to Italy or any particular country at all times. Putting an Italian flag next to Peppino Garibaldi's name simply because he was Italian is confusing for the people reading the Battle of Driskos article because it makes it seem like Italy fought against the Ottomans which was not the case. Catlemur (talk) 08:31, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Every other battle from the first balkan war has the flag of the Commanders participating. Its not confusing. I just added his nationl flag, Italy didnt fight but he still was Italian. I didnt want to create a confusion or a problem. Nickolas VL (talk) 08:38, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
