Wholegrain Turnip[edit]

What is the problem with my entries on wholegrain turnips? Furthermore, why are there issues with me editing reindeer to include wholegrain turnips as one of the foodstuffs eaten by reindeer. Someone repeatedly deleted it without contacting me. What do you know about wholgrain turnips?

Ronnie Tay[edit]

Hi,

Regards Ronnie Tay, are all high military ranks automatically notable and is there a (informal) policy or guideline on this at one of the wikiprojects? Or is the problem more that it shouldn't be a prod, it should be an AFD based on sources? I know there's sub-policies for specific types of bios (porn stars, academics), I'm wondering if I'm not aware of a similar rule of thumb for military ranks it or it's more I used the wrong process. It'll impact some other articles I prodded, so I'd like to know for future reference. Google search on "Ronnie Tay" turns up 718 hits, with the top three being this link and 2 wikipedia pages. The rest of the top 10 are mentions in articles or very short articles in local papers (example, example). In my mind this fails WP:BIO, but I'm not sure if it's enough to cover both these sentences:

If the depth of coverage is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may need to be cited to establish notability; Trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources may not be sufficient to establish notability.

Thanks for any advice you can give on this,

I did decline a speedy request on Ng Chee Khern; it seemed to me that Chief of Staff of Singapore's Air Force was at least an assertion of notability. There are bunch of these quasinotable people from one user. A group AfD would be possible, but some of them may be more notable than others... -FisherQueen (Talk) 16:43, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(To Nawlin) Thanks for dropping me a line on my talk page and no hard feelings on the disagreement. I've long held that even though I'm usually right, I am not always right, and every AFD I learn something new. WLU 20:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where should I place my notability references? On the talk page?

Actually, I'm a bit confused what constitutes notability for this sort of article. I can show that a number of people talk about it and a number of people practice it but what make an exercise technique 'notable, and what constitutes a 'reliable source' for it? The article's not really making any assertions to be verified other than the existence of the thing. (Okay, it said it had certain advantages and disadvantages, but that's a simple edit to remove). Epygi[edit]

Could I request undeletion of Epygi please? I have created the article 'on spec' and will be adding more to it as my time permits. I also hope that it's presence will cause others to add more. The company itself and their products are certainly notable. Things like the company's turnover, number of employees, and so forth are currently being gathered and will be added in the next few days. Emily Hagins[edit]

Hello. Thank you for your interest in deleting frivolous articles. You recommended Emily Hagins for AfD due to lack of notability. Since the nomination, the article has been better sourced with a book, two newspapers, and a magazine article covering the subject's accomplishments. On the AfD page there are several messages from single-purpose accounts, some accusations and responses, and some input from the subject's mother. If you either sift through it all or ignore the messages not related to the merits of the article, I think you'll agree that the consensus is that the article now meets Wikipedia:Notability guidelines. At this point, could you close the debate, archive the AfD discussion, and remove the template on the article? Thanks --Appraiser 20:07, 11 July 2007 (UTC) (the original editor of the article)[reply]

emitations[edit]

While I appreciate the fact that you take your administrative duties seriously I must say I had an unfortunate experience due to your quick removal of an article I started: emitations.com. Imagine my embarrassment today when I told the individual interviewing me for a job that he could see that I am competent in wiki programing by seeing the emitations article I started. Needless to say it was not there. While this might seem trivial to you it (most likely) cost me a job. Is it not wikipedia's policy to add the "citation needed" tag to articles in need of citations? It seems like that would be the most rational response to finding an article on a subject you are not familiar about. Perhaps someone else would have liked to have added them. If I understand correctly, this act can be undone by adding relavant citations (though I do not know how to go about that process). Your heavy hand will not bring back the opportunity to make a good first impression on a potential employer. Perhaps you should consider this in the future before removing content. Why not add a warning or "needs citation" tag first? Yours Eric

Frank Moore (artist) rename proposal[edit]

My reply concerning "Truth in Numbers: The Wikipedia Story"[edit]

Dear NawlinWiki, yesterday, User:MER-C embedded the deletion template onto my first created article. But unfortunately for me without you thinking carefully and holistically as it seems, you delete it instantly just within a few hours without permitting me an opportunity space or a chance to make some of my justified claims first against the proposed deletion of such article I have created. If this is the case, I strongly oppose and abhor on what you have done and I beg to differ!!! How could you do such a punitive action?!? Therefore, for the sake of Wikipedia itself, please allow me to illustrate my rationale point even further on from what I have typed into its edit summary just right after his posting edit of proposed deletion template onto that article, plus in view that he reasoned out his objective of having it deleted by presenting this link→CSD-G4.

Upon referring to that policy link, however, it states that the article can be "extinguished" ONLY if provided that the copy is SUBSTANTIALLY IDENTICAL to the deleted version and that any revisions made clearly do not address the reasons for which the page was deleted. For the last one of that same article (needless to say, the one I created in which you deleted it for the third time or at its latest), it is certainly and without doubt different from what I have seen the last time when User:Orthologist created it before it got deleted the second time by User:Michaelas10. (I actually miss the first one before it was first deleted by User:Quarl, so I do not know how that article was like in the first place before I even know it due to my non-existence in Wikipedia. In other words, I have not arrived here yet!) During that time, as far as I can recall, it only has one infobox with a film image (or was it a promotional poster? Probably, but also got deleted as well! "sigh!"), one short passage of no paragraghs nor sections, and a mere handful few of external links. But unlike for my "start page" edit, apart from having its article divisions as per WP:MOSFILMS, I also have incorporated in some more relevant connected links and had supplied more information as long as it is truly pertained to that Wikipedian film.

Secondly, as a whole I do not clearly see why it should be made “extinct” in any way. References or sources has been given with citations (more than one reference), coupled with some noticeable notability traits in progress of growing gradually. In fact, this film has already been announced its release since over ten months already — around September last year and it is still in current production nearing to completion once it reaches to the end of this year! Another thing, apart from what I have recieved from my talk page, what do you mean that I still have a problem with notability? You never even explain reasonably or even specifically of what notability problems do I have! It would be comforting for me if you would clarify to me more appropriately by what you mentioned rather than just pointing out “defects” about me i.e. stating that I have such problem, would not it be helpful enough for me if you were to tell me that way in what it should be supposedly or correctly done?

Thirdly, since you also bestowed me the archived page of proposed deletion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Truth in Numbers: The Wikipedia Story along with your talk message, as a matter a fact, I had read it and had seen it several times already until or before you present it to me yesterday. Nevertheless and yet, I still find that almost none of those discussions omitted by them have convincible points significant enough to fully agree for such deletion. Well, except for the one aver by User:MFG, I am totally acknowledging him in what he said. In this case and due to that I am not present at that point of time, let me thoroughly rectify some of their non-advocatory circumstantialities plus a couple of slight misunderstandings which have already been stated by most of them over that page, especially WP:CBALL. Shall we (move on)?

  1. If they affirmed that Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, then why do I see and notice the existence of other future films being merit-deserved such as those listed under the page catalogue of near future in film within the sections at the bottom, for instance Puss in Boots: The Story of an Ogre Killer, Shrek 4, Toy Story 3, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (film), plus together with the ones of undetermined releases such as The Fast and the Furious: Top Gear and not to mention another film called Destricted in which all of them will be scheduled for release sometime in the year both 2010 and 2011 — that is at least three years from now and surely these films also go unreleased!!! Hah, now how are you going to explain to me about that? Is not that more an even much longer stretch than what User:DGG had imagined from that archived page? What difference can you make between those aforesaid films and the mine one which you already “terminated”? As from the one that appear from the Wikipedia page of WP:NOT, it states that all articles about anticipated events must be verifiable, and the subject matter must be of sufficiently wide interest that it would merit an article if the event had already occurred. Again just like what I have told you from the third paragraph above, this upcoming Wikidocumentary that I am talking about has already occurred and it is really in current production!! Speaking of verifiability by going even deeper and further down to another Wikipedia page of WP:V, it is written that articles should only contain material that has been published by reliable sources. Are not its references I have cited into that deleted Wikidocumentary article are deemed as reliable sources?
  1. And as for the rest, contradicting the top argument by User:Lopineg, now Google has more than double in its number searches from 241 hits to 517 hits already! But that is only when you put that full film name title in open and close inverted commas or in quotations marks when you do a search. Alternatively and however, if I were to enter that famous search engine in the same manner without setting them in with a pair inverted commas, by this time the number of hits would be roughly around 1.93 million! For this reason, how can it be regarded as a fancruft now? Moreover, not all people and film fans alike could know the full name of the aforesaid Wikifilm title but they do know that an upcoming film about Wikipedia is on its way soon. Generally, they may have various ways of naming the film. Perhaps they may call it “A Wikipedia Movie” or denote it as only “Truth in Numbers” or even indicating it as just “The Wikipedia Story”, who knows?

Last but not the least, I will have to assert myself that I sincerely felt very disappointed and upset by what it had happened, and it has devastated me a lot more by having my very first created article in Wikipedia to be gone into extermination by you out of the blue just like that! This is very sad indeed! In the end of all these, with my utmost plea, if possible, I greatly urge you to please restore it as well as to earnestly beg you to reconsider your decision once again! Otherwise, I might have no other choice available if the WP:DRV fails to reach a desired-cum-positive consensus, I will then resort this matter by bringing it and discussed it to User:Jimbo Wales and also to User:UDP about this deletion and whether their opinions regarding this deleted article could come to a right concurrence for I am very certain that they know about the Wikidocumentary and also on what is going on around here once I have informed them. In case you did not notice or realise (I am unsure of whether you have known him or not), User:UDP is actually Nic Hill, the director of the upcoming Wikidocumentary film. Perhaps I might return here again if there is anything contested against the restoration or the recreation of the aforementioned deleted film-of-Wikipedia article. When I first came here as new, I used to think that Wikipedia is a great collaborative site. However with its deletion cases involved, what is the point of collaborating by expanding or adding more information into articles? And more importantly, how to be bold when one's article is deleted? Thank you.

Postscript: By the way, what does it mean by MER-C's contraction "JS" from his edit summary of the Wikifilm's deleted article for intended deletion? Javascript? A footnote reminder: Whenever I set any typeface in bold style as shown from a few above, it does not necessary mean shouting or yelling, it is just avowing my strong emphasis. editing guidlines[edit]

Emitations.com If you're going to use Wikipedia articles as references for job interviews (which is pretty dodgy, given that anyone can edit them at any time), you should make sure your articles meet Wikipedia's fundamental guidelines of notability and verifiability. Yours didn't. Yours was an article on a nonnotable business which cited no independent sources. If we were to assume that we shouldn't delete any articles, even though they fail our guidelines and meet the standards for speedy deletion, because their author might be using them to impress a potential boss, we wouldn't have guidelines anymore and this would be MySpace. NawlinWiki 03:42, 12 July 2007 (UTC) Is your only response to point to the rulebook (and call names)? How about showing me how to get my text back and I will provide a footnote to a source that you use in one of your articles thus proving notability. Or is it once on the 'Nawlins non-notable list...forever on the non-notable list? yours, eric

And if I'm not allowed to supply links, just delete that too. But please don't throw away that page. Is the history and picture(s) ok? IIf so return it to me. Thank you.

Deletion of DEALBAY[edit]

You have deleted the article about Dealbay recently. I have seen that you stated "no assertion of notability" as the reason for the speedy deletion. The website has a lot of users in the United Arab Emirates, whilst being not very known to the rest of the world. If you enter "www.dealbay.ae" in Google Search you will find a lot of results (from Middle Eastern websites) which refer to this company. The internet community in the UAE is quite small, but there is a growing interest especially in websites focussed on the region. Please tell me what to do to get the article undeleted. Thank you!!!

Resurrect 'The Saddos'[edit]

I hope you can assist.

Last week, I posted an article about "The Saddos" was on wikipedia. I now find that you have deleted it. The style in which it was written is indicative of the group's satirical leanings, but I assure you, this group does indeed exist. The history and formation of the group as stated in the article is factual, the members of this group are well established and highly regarded members of the artistic world and I find this deletion unnecessary.

Please feel free to ask any question to verify anything in the article's content. Opinion of style is one thing - deletion of facts is quite another, and I thought free flow of information was something wikipedia would guard and protect more strenuously.

I look forward to your response,

Best wishes,

Adam Gillett

These are common differences in spelling that could arise and it seems reasonable to be able to find the correct page irrespective of minor nuances in spelling or use of a preceding "The".

I spent 30 minutes of my time to write an article. This guy has translated The Apostles' Bible. Pull it back. I strongly oppose your decision.--Tomakiv 12:52, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is important to know who and what is author of Bible translation. There are plenty sources about him. You could propose it for deletion, but not for speedy one.--Tomakiv 13:02, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If the matter was about sources you would ask about them first do not delete the page.--Tomakiv 13:08, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Daoine sidhe[edit]

Hi - I see that back in April you deleted a page I created called "Daoine sidhe". The reason given in the deletion log is "wp is not a free web host." When I created the page it was a starting version of an article about a subset of the sidhe; the daoine sidhe are mentioned in quite a few Wiki articles (15 at last check). I'm vexed that someone turned it into something that warranted the free webhost deletion and I'd like to find out what went amiss. Can you tell me a) how to check the full deletion discussion with comments etc or b) how to view an archived copy of the deleted page so I can see what happened to it? Also, will I get in trouble if I re-create the article as a proper wiki article, as it should be? Thanks much! --Bookgrrl holler/lookee here 18:49, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. You can answer here, I've got your talk page on my watch list... --Bookgrrl holler/lookee here 18:50, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Zoinks! That was definitely a "free webhost" attempt (not mine, BTW). I'll review what's on the main sidhe page etc; if after reviewing it seems to me that the term does warrant its own article, is there any protocol for recreating a deleted page that I should be aware of? Please restore my userpage[edit]

Hello, NawlinWiki. According to the deletion log, you deleted my userpage a couple of days ago after someone had it tagged with {{db-user}}. Well, it wasn't me who asked for the speedy. My userpage has a list of contributions, including many bad edits, by other people using the same internet connection. It was probably one of those bad editors who added the speedy tag. Not me. May I have my old userpage back, please? Thanking you in advance. --199.71.174.100 23:07, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear NawlinWiki, I just wanted to create a new article (LINAK), but then I found out, that the article has been deleted several times before. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharifullah_%28_cricketer%29 02blythed 11:35, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You were completely wrong to do so. Those articles had just been started as part of a long running project to write articles on Bangladeshi first class cricketers. They consisted of an info box, an introductory sentence and a 'under construction tag'. I come along and write the prose a few hours later. Your summary deletion of these articles is entirely wrong and you owe the author of them an immediate apology. You have wasted his time and mine. Please don't do anything of this sort again. If you do I will report you appropriately. It's hard enough creating content on wikipedia without perfectly legitimate efforts being symied in this way. How long did you give these articles exactly before deleting them? What makes you think first class cricketers aren't notable? Nick mallory 12:12, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your clarification. The problem should be sortable now. My friend has had several trigger happy editors delete his work so I tend to assume the worst on his behalf. I apologise for my accusations which have proved unfounded. Thanks. Nick mallory 12:19, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I sincerly apologise for assuming that you deleted some cricket articles. I wrongly thought that you had deleted the articles in which I was wrong to do so. It is just that other people have deleted my work before on cricketers and I presumed that you had done like wise. Again sorry for accusing you of deleting some of new cricket articles. 02blythed 19:19, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Question[edit]

04:56, 20 July 2007 NawlinWiki (Talk | contribs) deleted "Mdvanii" (g11 advertising, a7 nonnotable, no indep. sources content was: '{{db| there is no assertion of notability of the subject, nor is any context provided for understanding it.}}MdvaniiMdvanii is a 1/6 scale (2...')

I have been reading the suggested articles that describe the reasons for deletion but I am still confused about why this article qualified. I have found out that

G11 refers to pages that exist only to promote a company, product, or service.

A7 means an article about a person, group, company, or web content that does not assert the importance of the subject.

I do not think that either was the case. How does one assert importance? As for G11, the article was about a doll that is also considered to be art in some circles . . . not a company, product, or service. It is very well known both in doll and modern art collecting circles. I am very confused and look forward to any clarification you can share.

I hope this is okay to contact you. I read here that it was acceptable to contact the admin:

Black Spy[edit]

Interesting deletion you have made, and I'm wondering why. The wiki page List_of_Avalon_Hill_games list hundreds of this company's games and 99% of the links to those games are to non-noteworthy games with no sources listed except the Avalon Hills rules book. Black Spy was the same and I hadn't even added a photo yet. There is no reason on earth that Black Spy should be deleted and the 100's of other games by Avalon Hill should stay (except for one or two truly noteworthy games). What's the story here? Parsippany SC[edit]

Please do not delete this article. Obviously, since you deleted it so quickly, you did not take the time to at least see that two of Parsippany's teams are on the national level and we are major members of the Super-Y League and the Super-20 League. Please verify the content you are deleting BEFORE you decide it isn't for Wikipedia.

Heres the website if you don't believe me: Parsippany Soccer Club.

Shanem201 03:14, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Half of the other teams have sites here on Wikipedia. Just go to those two articles and you'll see. I don't believe you. Show me that policy, please. Shanem201 03:16, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want me to belive this policy, then CARRY IT OUT. Look at Super-20 League. There is teams with sites when they are U-18 or U-19. Shanem201 03:19, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did look at the notability page, and it says to use a tag to cite an article for speedy deletion. You did not use a tag at all. Shanem201 03:23, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator or not, you are the 4th person to just wipe my articles off of Wikipedia, and two were by non-admins. This policy HAS to change, and I am going to discuss this with Jimbo. Shanem201 03:33, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have left a comment with Jimbo. Allowing admins to just wipe articles off Wikipedia with no allowance for discussion first can damage Wikipedia, and this allows admins the capibility of creating any kind of "consensus" they want. I'm not saying you are, but I know there are many people out there who would, and locking an article for a bit for a discussion would save time and articles that should not have been deleted. I would much rather see articles be deleted because no one can verify them, rather than a popularity contest. Locking articles, just for a couple of days, before its deleted, will stop a lot of contests dead in their tracks because people will be able to think before they act and push delete. Shanem201 03:43, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Truthfully, I think you have not read the WP:IDONTKNOWIT policy, because a consensus on no youth league teams, no matter what their notability is, is violating the core aspects of Wikipedia, an encyclopedia. Even though youth league teams have certain restrictions on them because the players are minors, I don't think a few interesting facts are harmful to Wikipedia. Dumbledore copyedit[edit]

Thanks for the copyedit on Dumbledore; I've partially reverted it because it undid a change I made earlier this evening (I think an anon then messed up the grammar, but I haven't checked) removing a reference to Dumbledore having "graduated" from Hogwarts, which is anatopistic since school graduations are practically unknown in the UK. Help?[edit]

I was fixing the vandalism on BEHCET AND LIAM IN THE ROOM when you deleted it, and now it shows up in my list of contributions, but when I go to the link, it shows up as saying that the database can't find it. But my edit shows up in the article history. Corvus cornix 21:20, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Weird. This is the content of the file: The database did not find the text of a page that it should have found, named "BEHCET AND LIAM IN THE ROOM,oldid=146612905".

This might be because no page has yet been created with this name, in which case you can start it by clicking the "edit this page" link.

If it is a recently changed page, trying again in a minute or two will usually work. Alternatively, you may have followed an outdated diff or history link to a page that has been deleted. If this revision has been deleted, an explanation may be found in the deletion log for "BEHCET AND LIAM IN THE ROOM".

Revisions that contain personal information disclosed without permission may have been permanently removed.

If none of the above is the case, you may have found a bug in the software. Please report this using the procedure given at Wikipedia:Bug report, making note of the URL.

I've blanked it out. Could you please just delete it? thanks. Corvus cornix 21:21, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UnKnown Aerospace deletion[edit]

Hi,

please could you point me at a description of what is and isn't allowed, or what sort of unique feature must be described, in order for a page referring to a group or company not to be deleted from wikipedia. The primary reason for placing a page here is to provide information of who we are and what we do. This seems to be a standard approach for companies on wikipedia, of which there are many examples. If the reason for deletion were because of 'self agrandisment' rather than third party informational (ie. encyclopeadic) reasons then, of course, it would be understandable that the deletion occurred and that would be quite fair. however, it is noticeable that although the page was similar to entries of many other groups and companies - some of which it is noted are written by company employees rather than third parties - it is difficult to know what is and isn't permissible for such pages.

Some guidance on good sense for group and company pages would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

 - bigglescat

Deleted deletion debates[edit]

Hey NawlinWiki. A while back you deleted Talk:List of black people/white people/Delete, Talk:Lists of postal and ZIP codes of the world/Delete and Talk:Little Fluffy Industries as orphaned talk pages. While those page were orphaned, they were archived deletion debates of the pages they were attached to; the result of the more primitive archiving process back in the days of "votes for deletion" (VfD). See Wikipedia:Archived delete debates/2003 for where these pages are listed, now red-linked. This comes up as a result of this post at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion. Always a glutton for tedious research, I am going through the many red-linked pages and notifying the deleting admins. Can you restore the pages? Hi Nawlin - I've seen you trolling around periodically on CVU duty. I wanted to ask you a question. I came across what seems to be an obvious edit war at Template:Infobox NFLactive. The two editors involved seem to have an ongoing problem with this template that ends up resulting in near 3RR problems and has WP:OWN implications as well. Collective Fedora Films[edit]

I won't argue with your choice to delete the article, it definitely fulfilled the criteria, but I am wondering if there is any chance that the content is still intact in some form. How does Ice Records make the cut?[edit]

My addition of Pro-Gravity Records is being considered for deletion. However, I noticed the article you created on Ice Records is sailing on, despite the fact that Pro-Gravity Records has more artists, a better written article and as many references.

So my question is (and I see you don't respond to questions, but still), what is the difference? How is Ice Records notable, but not Pro-Gravity Records? Other than the fact, of course, that you created Ice Records. What do I have to do to keep my article from getting deleted?

The Wiki-ocracy strikes again!

  • Hey I dont' know if this is the correct way to communicate with you or not, but here it is ... I mean, I see what you're saying about Ice Records vs. Pro-Gravity and all. But as far as noteworthiness goes, again, it's an Indpendent label with about 8 acts and 10 albums -- with 4 albums in the pipeline. Yeah, it's only artists around Allegany County, Maryland, but why does that in and of itself make it not worthy of inclusion? I can produce articles on most of the bands on the list from the local paper (some aren't accessible on the Website any longer), but I have a feeling those articles won't be up to snuff either. I mean, Pro-Gravity is legit (disclaimer: I am not Pro-Gravity records) ... people around here know who they are, and it's who everyone tries to release an album with. They're recognized within a good two to three hours of here and respected for their DIY/Indie footprint.

It seems as though if an artist isn't on a major record label or doesn't release a song that charts, they're going to be deleted, which (IMHO) flies in the face of what Wikipedia is about.Lawofone 17:41, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Super Smash Bros series Playable Characters[edit]

Sorry about tagging it and moving everything onto the Speedy Deletion page; that wasn't my intent. However, this template was decidedly merged previously, and that's why I tagged it.

Template:Super Smash Bros. series playable characters was the template that was merged into Super Smash Bros. series. That's why, when you click the link, it redirects to Template:Super Smash Bros. series. See the merge discussion here. It's actually a reverse merge; there was no sense to merge the series template into the playable characters template. So, the merge was done in reverse, playable characters into the series template. --Son 21:29, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:STS01 and I usually catch it and revert pretty quickly. (The sad fact is that I personally know some of it to be true, but I can't cite a source.) It's gone through an edit-revert cycle about once a day for several days. Can you semi-protect this article for us until this person goes away for awhile? Thanks! Smile[edit]

Hey! I don’t know the procedure, please help. Thank you. --Polarlys 16:04, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I was surprised you speedily deleted this article. It is a valid stub and the incorrectly added speedy deletion tag had already been removed. Would you consider restoring it? --Ginkgo100talk 16:47, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of T. C. Jester[edit]

T. C. Jester not notable? There's a street named after him in Houston (technically, more than one); I would think this qualifies as "notable enough." My reason for creating the article was so people would actually know who he was (many Houstonians do not). --Shawn K. Quinn 22:49, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Twilight War: After the Fall[edit]

The deletion of this wiki was due to misunderstanding and old information. Smiling Gator Productions has long since handed production of the game over to General Computers Inc. Although funding was not available a year and a half ago with SGP, GC has since taken up the project and is expected to not only have a closed beta start on August 1st, 2007 (http://www.twilightwar.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=80) but also has an expected release date within 2007. To delete this wiki on the premise that it is a game that will not make it into production is highly illogical and simply incorrect. I would expect that the game wiki would be restored, if you have any doubt as to why you should restore the wiki, please let me know and I will resolve any issues you may have. Thanks, --BackhillAccesstalk 01:51, 30 July 2007

I'm very frustrated, can you help?[edit]

I started the 'Tin Dog' Podcast page (which took me ages) I had not completed it when you deleted it and had no backup, I had not had time to state in the artical why this Podcast was important. This is a popular podcast similar to Doctor Who: Podshock, please can you undo the delete, I'm desperite to continue this artical being one of the many trying to make Wikipedia an informative and trustworthy site.

Deletion of Massage Mavens - Why?[edit]

I started the 'Massage Mavens' as a company listing page which i was editing and included "RELIABLE SOURCES" OF "NOTABILITY" INCLUDING four links to external magazines, articles and awards received by the company. I had not completed editing the page when you deleted it and had no backup, please undo the delete and check the sources or notability. I'd like to continue with the company article. tgemelli

Thank you.... so with our rapid growth Massage Mavens is quickly becoming a large entity in CT & NY. We are developing plans to launch an IPO/capital investment campaign in the future for financing and a regional / national rollout. How does a company such as Vinyard Vines http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vineyard_Vines qualify with their page? Do i need to add something to avoid deletion / publish the article?

Deletion of The Lizards of Munich Campus[edit]

This rapid delete is really stealing from the culture of the American military brat and their experiences overseas. I was going to tie it all in with the education system, the cultural values, and the military bases, of which many articles exist on Wikipedia. Can I complete it and give it another shot? Wha?[edit]

You just blocked 24.6.2.164, right? So how come he just edited his/her talk page? ACBestAutograph Book 22:06, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please read. Thanks, - hydnjo talk 23:37, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your vigilance and as I now understand your rationale I'll not contest the AFD as I'm not prepared to flesh out the article at this time. You're right, I started the article as a placeholder while starting yet another article which linked to Puritan Bennett and was surprised to have it come up red. So, I'll let this one go until I or someone else has the time to do a proper start. My apologies I guess, I've seen this kind of stub-starter before and so I thought that it was OK to do. - hydnjo talk 00:11, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deaf Pedestrians[edit]

Perhaps you should restore Deaf pedestrians? I just did a google search which prompted over 10,000 google hits. They might've actually have been notable and I was about to prod it. -WarthogDemon 23:45, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah is "deaf pedestrians" also a term I'm not aware of? I didn't do a google search carefully enough then. Thanks for the heads up. :) -WarthogDemon 23:50, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inapropriate?[edit]

Well, sorry if I sound out of tone, but recently I tried to create an article named Dreamviews and it was deleted. I do not know why that happened and why I received a warning - that is my first edit on this wiki (with a registered account of course), and yet your warning mentions "continue to". I feel a misurderstanding. Will you please review it?

Parsippany SC[edit]

Just to give a little backup to my earlier discussion, Parsippany hosted a U-17 match between the United States and Honduras at one of the soccer club's venues, where both teams were the national teams. If that's not notable for a small town soccer club, please tell me what is. Shanem201 03:26, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You deleted this article with the rationale "a7 neologism". Neologisms are not a criteria for speedy deletion, and this particular neologism does have some notable sources ([6]). I think the article should be undeleted and AFDed instead. --Darksun 12:29, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

QuincyJones Podcast[edit]

Hello question as to why the page was deleted this page provides info on what the podcast is about and will in turn provide knowledge to his fans about his life's work -- I don't understand how pages about CD's can be up telling about what songs are on it and a information about a podcast that will porvide people with true insight into the music industry and Quincy Jones life aren't relevant -- does it help if I ad a pic of the the podcast and a link SMRex

AMFM[edit]

The page AMFM was deleted. According to musician guideline #10, it says Has performed music for a work of media that is notable. The band was included in the motion picture Life Goes On, which not only has a wiki page, but is also staring Obie Trice, one of the best selling rap artists today. This makes the movie notable.

Quincy[edit]

Ok -- so if I had a PR releaes that stated the importance of the podcast does that change anything-- I understand every Quincy project doesn't need a seperate listing - but a CD to me is no more notable then an actual musician telling you about who they are are and the projects they are working on? Chances are there will be more very notable artists that will be a part of this. Sorry just trying to understand. SMRex 3:21 EDT
