February 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Souhegan High School, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Meters (talk) 06:32, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Tony Labranche, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Meters (talk) 06:39, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Mrspookydooky2. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Tony Labranche, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Since you claim to be Tony Labranche [1] you have a conflict of interest in editing Tony Labranche or in adding information about him to other articles. Meters (talk) 06:56, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And whether or not you are Labranche makes no difference to the requirement to source your edits. As it is, we don't know who you are. It is common for people to falsely claim to be the subject of an article (or associated with the subject of an article) in an effort to control the content of an article. If you wish to claim to be Labranche then contact OTRS and prove your identity. See Wikipedia:Contact_OTRS. Any information you provide will not be made public, but once your identity is confirmed your account will be tagged as having proved your identity. Meters (talk) 07:05, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please follow the COI rules. Propose any edits on the article's talk page rather than making them yourself. Meters (talk) 20:09, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
