Totally agree with you about the Todd Gold book; I will only use it for the non-controversial stuff, but if more original citations can be found, then great. Don't envy you tackling the line up issue - always gonna be difficult. I'll take a look though. Rikstar 23:51, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

My Thunderbird is currently off the road and in need of an engine rebuild (unsurprising at 180,000 miles) but it will run again ;) As solid as those cars are built, I suspect if someone hit one there'd be more damage to the other car ... re: Only with You[edit]

Hey Mookie..... I thought I had checked/moved all the links???? In fact I swear I did do it, unless I am completely hallucinating, if I forgot some or all or spaced out on this one, my apologies. Normally that's a big pet peeve of mine. Thanks for the heads-up. - eo (talk) 14:40, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Endings (song)[edit]

You said:

Just wanted to say that I am going to get around to writing an article about The Beach Boys song at some point. It's been on my mental list of things to do for a while now. I will probably put it at Happy Endings (Beach Boys song), so if that is wrong place to put it, let me know. Thanks!

You can probably just put it at Happy Endings (song) if you want. The Lee Brice song of the same name is definitely not notable enough for its own page (although I think it's a good song). Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 16:15, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Carnie Wilson[edit]

I am changing "1990s" to "1980s" because Wilson Phillips's biggest hit, Hold On, is a dance-pop song. Many artists in the 80's performed dance pop, Madonna for example. Notice that there were no hit songs of this style after the year 1990. There were a few that charted in 1991, but were all recorded in 1990. According to the traditional Gregorian calendar, the 1980s are 1981-1990. Read 20th century. Note that the 20th century is 1901-2000, not 1900-1999. Synthpop underwent a change in 1981 with the release of Don't You Want Me, for example. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eileen's Dream (talkcontribs) 17:16, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your 20th century arguement would be spot-on if you wanted to insert 'the 10th decade of the 20th century' or 'the 200th decade', but 1980s consist of the years 1980-1989. Read 1980s, the very first sentence. I will remove 1980's again, since it is inaccurate, but since you feel so strongly about it, I will not put 1990s back in. I don't think that either really needs to be there. MookieZ (talk) 21:13, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
