Please stop adding flags to infoboxes[edit]

Please read WP:INFOBOXFLAG: "Avoid flag icons in infoboxes Generally, flag icons should not be used in infoboxes, even when there is a "country", "nationality" or equivalent field: they are unnecessarily distracting and give undue prominence to one field among many. Flag icons should only be inserted in infoboxes in those cases where they convey information in addition to the text. Flag icons are visually distracting in infoboxes and lead to unnecessary disputes when over-used... The guidelines for a number of common infoboxes (e.g... Template:Infobox person...) have long explicitly deprecated the use of flag icons". Inappropriately adding flags to infoboxes creates unnecessary work for others. AndyTheGrump (talk) 10:53, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Moncherlsx, please do not ignore the advice left to you above. I see you are still doing it. If you insist on doing it, that may be grounds for blocking. Nymf talk to me 12:55, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please, and I can say this as friendly as possible, but consider this your third request to STOP adding flag icons into infoboxes. You may wish to ignore this friendly reminder, but the next time that you add a flag to an infobox against repeated attempts to get you to stop, I will have no choice but to file at report at WP:ANI and recommend that you are given a block for your disruption.--JOJ Hutton 13:00, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see Moncherlsx has been warned in the past but continues to keep adding flags to non-sportspeople. I have been fixing their recent edits. 66.216.230.158 (talk) 21:19, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Newman Image[edit]

I've started a discussion about the infobox image on Paul Newman which you might like to contribute to, so that a clear consensus about which image to use can be reached.-- Mrmatiko (talk) 09:05, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Neither of the two categories you added was basis on the article, as far as I see it, and the Korean one looks like vandalism altogether. Please be more careful in the future. Debresser (talk) 15:14, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sun Yang[edit]

Hi and thanks for your message on my talk page. I reverted your edit on Sun Yang because the English did not make sense - it's not clear exactly what you were trying to say and the way you said it was not grammatically correct either. Can you explain what the point of what you want to add is? Melcous (talk) 06:32, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and thanks for your messages. No, unfortunately I cannot speak Chinese, so I'm not sure I will be able to help with your enquiry. With regards to Sun Yang, it would be great if you could try to find references in English to support what you want to say as that might help me to understand what you are trying to include. Thanks, Melcous (talk) 06:26, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
