September 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical), (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Additionally, your signature should include a link to your user talk page, not just to your user page (see WP:CUSTOMSIG/P). Please adjust your sig accordingly. Thanks, — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 03:11, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm NebY. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. NebY (talk) 19:46, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to be very constructive, your way of not developing Wikipedia and making effort and abuse to suppress the opinion of those who want to develop it. Mohmad Abdul sahib 06:06, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You tagged a discussion to indicate that for ten years it should be kept on that page and not moved to the page archives. That disrupts the functioning of that page and makes it less useful to Wikipedia's editors. When that tag was quite properly removed, you did it again. That was not constructive the first time and should not have been repeated. NebY (talk) 11:57, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. I have already asked you not to be disruptive. The next time you are, I will block you from WP:VPT. Understand? Izno (talk) 15:52, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There is no policy that authorizes you to block me according to what I did, I added a template that prevents archiving until I reply after 10 days and I have the right to do this, in general you are not cooperative.bye!Mohmad Abdul sahib 17:05, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

VPT[edit]

This edit is simply disruption. Do not repeat it. Do not arbitrarily bump the topic either. If anyone thinks your idea is worth spending time on, they will say so. Izno (talk) 15:13, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Izno I suggested an idea that could help to keep the important part of the picture without distortion, I suggest and if you are interested, you can take advantage of the idea or ignore it, that's all and you don't have to be blunt.Mohmad Abdul sahib 17:04, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature[edit]

Hello Mohmad Abdul sahib, Your signature should not include size elements that make your signature larger than the surrounding text, as this can cause disruption to readers. For more on this, and other guidelines for signatures see Wikipedia:Signatures, this part is covered in: Wikipedia:Signatures#Appearance_and_color. Please adjust your user signature here: Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-personal to remove the forced font-size element. Thank you for your attention to this matter. — xaosflux Talk 02:57, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Xaosflux I made it small before and now it's the right size.Mohmad Abdul sahib 10:53, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It is unacceptably tall. Signature font size should not exceed the font size of the surrounding text, which is about (1em * 0.875). 16px is too big as it causes any line with your signature on it to increase the entire line height to accommodate your overly high signature. — xaosflux Talk 11:32, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
xaosflux How many px do you want?.Mohmad Abdul sahib 11:43, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not xaosflux, but I have an answer for you anyway: "none". That is, please don't specify any font-size larger than normal. In any case, using px units to specify font-size for text is a bad idea, as you cannot know what size text your reader prefers or is using. The px unit is for images, not text. Better, if you must specify a font-size value, is to use em units (somewhat related to related to em (typography)). With 1.2em, the text is already distracting larger, and then you also have that shadow in your sig (and I do not know if that adds even more height). So, the maximal size I would recommend is 1em, but in that case, you don't need to specify any height. You've already got the green and the shadow. That should make a significantly noticeable and attractive signature for you.
Now, what's still missing is the link to your talk page. I asked you to add that before (per WP:CUSTOMSIG/P), but you haven't done it yet. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 15:24, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Basically that, if you really want to set a size it should be <= to 0.875em. It is OK to make parts smaller than normal for style (as that doesn't break other lines). — xaosflux Talk 16:47, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
JohnFromPinckney Looks like you didn't audit: Wikipedia:Signature tutorial § Real-life examples
That's why you have a misconception about shadows, and draw attention concerning ((link to my talk page)) I don't know how to do this, do this for me.Mohmad Abdul sahib 21:04, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for fixing the font-size! — xaosflux Talk 21:24, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
<= 1.0em may be OK, but it would need to be checked on the various skins, <= that 0.875 should be safe though. — xaosflux Talk 21:25, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Since I am having so much trouble understanding you, I have taken the exceptional liberty of properly indenting the posts in this section. I hope you will take the time to look at WP:TPG to find out how to do the indentation for yourself when you add to any talk page. That page tells us it's impolite to refactor other editors' comments, but I have done that for clarity, as well as an example because you are still new here.
I did not understand your post when it said "back out", but it's not much clearer since you changed it to "audit". I have, in fact, seen Wikipedia:Signature tutorial, and I don't know why you are pointing me to it. I am not aware that I have any misconception about shadows. I simply wasn't sure how much it affected the line height. (And that page doesn't talk about that aspect.)
Another thing I did not understand was why you ordered me to change your sig for you. First of all, I can't change your signature; only you can do that. Secondly, I am less inclined to help when I am told to do something; adding the word "please" would go a long way to encourage people to help you.
To add the talk-page link to your sig, consider the examples near the top of the page to which you pointed me. There, at Wikipedia:Signature tutorial § Talk pages, is an example of [[User talk:UserBob|talk]]; you could therefore add [[User talk:Mohmad Abdul sahib|talk]] to your sig (probably at the end). Try it out somewhere (but not on this page, because it won't appear as a link here), and if you're happy with it, you're done! — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 21:52, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

JohnFromPinckney Thank you for this explanation, it will be very helpful, sorry for my mistake, yup! My signature is long, it is enough to reach my page and does not need ((link to my talk page)).Mohmad Abdul sahib 23:22, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Let me summarize:
(1) you insist on ignoring standard indentation customs I pointed you to at WP:TPG,
(2) you tell me to change your sig to include a Talk link, and when I do (anyway),
(3) you thank me for the explanation saying, it will be very helpful, but then
(4) decide your sig doesn't need a talk page link because your sig is long (although it's not any longer than it was, and not as long as some other users'), so
(5) you're going to not include the link although it's clearly suggested at WP:CUSTOMSIG/P, to which you've been directed more than once.
I see I have been wasting my time with you. I'll try to limit further interactions in the future. — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 09:33, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop posting the same thing to different Village Pumps[edit]

It's disruptive. Doug Weller talk 12:41, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Doug Weller One of the moderators asked me to publish my post in this place, so by what right do you refuse it, would you like me to file a complaint against you?.Mohmad Abdul sahib 13:16, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, that was a mistake on behalf of the editor (we have no moderators) as the Village Pump (Policy) clearly says "The policy section of the village pump is used to discuss proposed policies and guidelines and changes to existing policies and guidelines." The Idea Lab page says "The idea lab section of the village pump is a place where new ideas or suggestions on general Wikipedia issues can be incubated, for later submission for consensus discussion at Village pump (proposals)" - not for policy proposals.
You were told at the Policy Pump : No intelligible policy proposal has been put forward. Mohmad Abdul sahib has received advice on how to address this content dispute.: That advice was to post at Talk:Buzzer which you haven't done. Doug Weller talk 13:31, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Doug Weller I have explained this in the Policy section in clear detail, but I was forcibly suppressed and the case closed, I have made it clear that I want to put an item in the documentation and sources policy, and I do not want to discuss who canceled my edit to the buzzer article page.

Here I realized that Wikipedia is run by people who are organized like a gang and do not allow regular users to discuss anything about politics. Mohmad Abdul sahib 23:31, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. No one really understood what you meant. I see comments such as "You have also not explained here what "policy issue [you want] judged" and " No intelligible policy proposal has been put forward. Mohmad Abdul sahib has received advice on how to address this content dispute". I think, looking at the site, you are saying that the site is not selling anything so isn't a commercial site, and the fact that it makes money through ads shouldn't matter. It's hard to tell though because your language is convoluted. But the real problem is that the site isn't a reliable sources, see WP:RS. If you want a source for the types of buzzer, you need a professional site, perhaps a magazine. That website is written by a workshop instructor. I'm removing it. Doug Weller talk 08:45, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Insecticide see also[edit]

Hi Mohmad Abdul sahib. I noticed your edit to insecticide. I've removed the BT link because MOS:NOTSEEALSO points out that we don't need to repeat links to articles which are already linked in the main text: in this case just above the see also section.
