I'm no wiki regular, so please excuse if this is wrong place for an inquiry.

In reference to wiki entry: uff da. I have regularly known this term to mean 'difficult task' used in all tenses... usually involving heavy lifting, often upon sudden realization of the difficulty, but, never, in defeat. From full blooded (Iowa) Dane, if that matters. Hope this helps.

New Suri Cruise AfD[edit]

Hello. You previously voted in the 2006 AfD for Suri Cruise. At the time, Suri was less than 10 days old, and the ultimate verdict was to turn the article into a redirect to her mother's page.

Since then, Suri has become much more notable in her own right as a toddler fashion icon, with over 13 million hits on google image search. After getting an administrator to lift the protection on the redirect, I recently restored the article as a stub, but an editor who believes that "6 year olds are not inherently notable" has again requested deletion.

Penny/Cent[edit]

This is just a courtesy message to inform you that I've reverted your move of Penny (United States coin) to "Cent (United States coin)" based on the previous consensus to use the name "penny" over "cent" and the fact that WP:COMMONNAME dictates that the name "penny" be used rather than its official name as the "one cent piece" or "one cent coin" or whatever (also the "cent" is merely a decimal unit of the US dollar). I reverted the large collection of images at Ghost sign per Wikipedia:Image_use_policy#Image_galleries: "Images in a gallery should be carefully selected, avoiding similar or repetitive images, unless a point of contrast or comparison is being made...However, Wikipedia is not an image repository. A gallery is not a tool to shoehorn images into an article, and a gallery consisting of an indiscriminate collection of images of the article subject should generally either be improved in accordance with the above paragraph or moved to Wikimedia Commons." You're wrong on at least three counts: (1) Using a word in strict accordance with its dictionary definition does not require review and is not disputed by an honest person. I always have and will continue to mark such edits as minor. (2) Wikipedia is not a sanitized/Disneyfied version of the facts. Foamite moved to draftspace[edit]

Looking back on some other articles that I created, such as Olympic Peninsula and Free body diagram, those also began as tiny stubs with no sources or citations, but they were allowed to remain in place and grow into the full articles they are today. In the same spirit of Wikipedia:Be bold, I created Foamite today as a stub in the hope that others would add to it and it would flourish into a full article.
