December 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "MarketingCofCQ", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to represent a business or a position within a business. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 23:24, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Churches of Christ in Queensland, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. INeverCry 23:54, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, MarketingCofCQ, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please remember to disclose these connections. Thank you.

You have been blocked from editing because the purpose of this account appears to be for advertising or promotion. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by copying the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} and posting it below this notice (replacing "Your reason here ~~~~" with the reason), but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Hi. Sorry, I realise the current content is not written neutrally. I just copied it in from an information brochure and was in the process of editing and formatting it all after which I was going to rewrite the content to ensure it is neutral and not promotional. I didn't think the page would be live until I selected for it to be so which is when I thought the page content would be reviewed by your team. Can you please advise how I can go about this? I then want to link the page to and from this parent page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churches_of_Christ_in_Australia. Also, I see the user name is in breach. I tried to change it to Churches of Christ in Queensland but was unable, if youc an please advise how I go about ensuring this is no longer in breach? Thanks MarketingCofCQ (talk) 00:10, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Firstly, you need to change your username to a name that is unconnected to any organisation or product, so for your next unblock request you should use the text:
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}

Secondly, I am unconvinced that you should be editing articles where you have a significant conflict of interest.

Lastly, you should acknowledge that you created an alternate account, and agree to only use one account (this one) in future. PhilKnight (talk) 01:37, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi Phil. Apologies for any breaches. I most definitely did not do so knowingly. I am very new to this space, so sorry again. Can you please delete this/these account/s and I will start again as I most certainly didn't mean to be in breach of anything. I will edit all content prior to uploading so you only see the neutral, educational content and we avoid any further confusion. Thanks

Jamie Gallagher: You just registered a new account (see User talk:Jamiecgallagher). If you wish to try to continue to edit here at Wikipedia, you must first submit another unblock request here. Please do not create any more accounts. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:15, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
