Spaces in re-used refs[edit]

Hallo, In your edit to Keir Mather you have removed the space before the "/" in re-used named refs such as <ref name=xyz />. But various bits of documentation such as WP:REFNAME and Wikipedia:Citing sources#Repeated citations show a space in that place. On what basis are you removing them? I'm puzzled.
