July 2022[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Giacomo Casanova. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. September 2022[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, you may be blocked from editing. You need to move the article back to the original title as it's been contested and moving it again without discussion is edit warring. PICKLEDICAE🥒 13:29, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Also stop WP:OVERLINKING it is useless and disruptive - please also respond to your talk page messages before continuing to edit. PICKLEDICAE🥒 14:34, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

All RIGHT, ok. I'll stop all that. MaggieSteinb (talk) 14:48, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
why are you still doing it? you're not helping anyone by linking terms like "personal life" --FMSky (talk) 18:16, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Musical theatre is unconstructive and has been reverted. Please see MOS:REPEATLINK and MOS:OVERLINK. Thank you. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:27, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

October 2022[edit]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Samuel Adams Green. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Graham87 15:02, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:48, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm ThaddeusSholto. I noticed that you recently removed content from Traces of Death without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. February 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Netherzone (talk) 21:55, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@MaggieSteinb I came here to ask the same as the above message: please start using edit summaries when you are making changes.
While your edits are often quite good contributions, in some it is completely unclear what you changed or what the intention of your edit was.
It takes a lot of time for other editors to review tons of small changes with no edit summaries, and it's better overall for an accurate history of page changes if you leave an indication of what you were trying to do with an edit. Thanks and cheers! Chiselinccc (talk) 01:53, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

April 2024[edit]

Please consider providing edit summaries; thank you. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(become old-fashioned!) 10:26, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Maggie,
Thank you for fixing the punctuation in the article on the Man in the Iron Mask, as you did here; your assistance is much appreciated. As I (and others before me) suggested above, please also consider adopting the good editorial practice of leaving an edit summary for each of your contributions, as this helps us all in quickly understanding the purpose of an edit.
If it helps, please feel free to use my own set of ready-to-use edit summaries, available at my Sample edit summaries user page. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration in this matter.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(become old-fashioned!) 17:32, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
