Sum 41 GA Review

I have submitted my review of Sum 41 as a GA. I have provided some things that article needs to have worked on before it can meet the good article criteria. Thank you and good luck!  Orfen  TC 04:50, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

gogoplata

Hey. I noticed you reverted my edits to the gogoplata page, presumably because I didn't include a source. Well here are the sources, from sherdog.com, which is accepted as a source for many other articles. http://sherdog.com/fighter/Shinya-Aoki-10774 http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/PRIDE-33-Second-Coming-Live-Play-by-Play%3Cbr%3EPresented-by-Warriorweartv-6832 http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Brad-Imes-11453

I'm not sure how to properly source things on Wikipedia, but do these links warrant putting the information back? -Alex —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.15.126.81 (talk) 14:53, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Sum 41 pics

I have uploaded them as normal free images and added to the sum 41 article to show some pictures except this boring only pic there is there from the UH recording, but they didn't let me... suddenly after a few hours they said its non-free blah blah blah. Those pics are from TNS anyway. AND I ADDED LOTS OF INFORMATION TO THE ARTICLE. ITS TOO SHORT AND MISSING INFO ABOUT THE OLD MEMBERS, THE COLLABORATION WITH LUDACRIS, THE CHUCK ACOUSTIC EP, THE ROLLING STONE AND MTV ACOUSIC SESSIONS, THE CRITISM FOR GO CHUCK YOURSELF, AND MUCH MORE! SUCH A BORING AND LAME ARTICLE YOU MADE, NO INFO AT ALL TEHRE! LIKE FOR EXAMPLE THAT THEY PLAYED THEIR BIGGEST CROWD TIL THAT POINT OF THEIR CAREER AT THE READING FESTIVAL IN 2002 JUST BEFORE THE RELEASE OF DTLI. I'M SO ANGRY FOR SOMEONE DELETING ALL THE INFO I ADDED!!

SlayerXTT (talk) 22:39, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Well it sucks then, I mean, how are we gonna use those pictures? I know I changed their info there as to album covers but thats because I tried to up them like this only picture there is in the whole article (the one with Deryck and Cone from the UH recording), and they said they gonna delete it and it doesn't have fair used rationale, something like that, whatever, and this article needs more pictures. And where's all the other info added like about their collaboration with Ludacris and about all the older band members. This article is too short and doesn't have any good info at all. Plus, they joke they all met and decided to form the band at a Hole concert. SlayerXTT (talk) 11:49, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Tom Strickland's Widipedia Page

The person with IP address 24.8.67.133 is back vadalizing Mr. Strickland's living person biography. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. I wrote a brief unbiased bio clearly supported by third party reference with a lot of help from seasoned editors like you who have Wiki-ized and added many more links to the entry. As a former U.S. Attorney in Colorado, Tom Strickland has prosecuted people who are now highly opinionated about him, and I beleive that is probably why 24.8.67.133 continues to change a particular portion of the entry over and over again. Thanks for listening.RM Baker (talk) 16:35, 29 August 2008 (UTC)RM Baker

Bad image tagging

Image:Deryck364.jpg, which you tagged as not having source information, is on Wikimedia Commons. If you want to mark it for deletion, you'll have to do so over there, since the English Wikipedia can't delete it. --Carnildo (talk) 07:56, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Why did you only nominate the talk page and not the project page? Also, you forgot to actually tag the page. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsHELP) 00:07, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

You stole my plan

That is the only Korean article you ever made, and it came from one of my subpages. I have it saved on the subpage to become Wikipedia's 3,000,000th article someday. Now, it's not notable anyway so I shall PROD it now. I'll also put up a disclaimer saying that no one has permission to steal my work. --Let Us Update Special:Ancientpages. 03:55, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Greyroom.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Greyroom.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 08:58, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Almamy (artist) to Almamy

Any tip on how to move the article Almamy (artist) to the article Almamy, where it is redirected? So the history of the article can be transferred to the Almamy's article history page.

Bech86 (talk) 04:59, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Re-edit

So if moving Almamy (artist) to Almamy isn't necessary, since it's redirected there, what about the page history of Almamy (artist)? Shouldn't it be moved to the Almamy article or should we leave it alone? Do you think a move template should be added to the talk page of Almamy (artist)?

Version 0.7 reviewing

Hi Spooky One, I see that you've signed up for the 1.0 review team. We need your help right now, because we had around 70 nominations last week! As you probably know, Version 0.7 is coming out soon, mainly based on the bot selection. This relieves us of the burden of manually assessing 30,000 articles, but we need the manual system to catch the articles that might "fall through the cracks" - such as a couple of missing provinces needed to complete a set. If you're no longer interested in reviewing, please can you remove your name from the list of reviewers?

You should consult the criteria and the FAQs, but I would suggest that most manual nominations of B-Class articles or higher are expected to pass, unless they are fairly obscure. You can get a good sense of the importance by looking at the article in the bot's list (check the talk page to find which projects have tagged it); an importance score (excluding quality) of <700 indicates that the article is probably too obscure, unless it is needed to complete a useful set (e.g., all the counties of England). I take the view that if someone who is knowledgeable on the topic spends the time to nominate the article, it is likely to be OK, but just occasionally people try to argue for an obscure or poor-quality article.

So, are you able to help? Many thanks, Walkerma (talk) 04:57, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cotton hill.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Cotton hill.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:21, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Template edits

Um well I see many band templates (Template:Metallica, Template:Green Day, Template:Rage Against the Machine and all of them are bullets. I'm not "messing them up" also, that's kind of exaggerating. --Hasek is the best (talk) 22:41, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Ah ok. I didn't notice that. I'm really not sure how that happened but it's better off if someone else could do it because I'm not an expert at fixing templates. Sorry 'bout that. --Hasek is the best (talk) 22:48, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
