Removal of PUIdisputed tag[edit]
Please do not remove {{PUIdisputed}} tags from images, as you did with Image:LPD 1885.jpg. If you wish to save this image from deletion, go and comment on its entry in Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. If you remove the tag again, you will be block for a longer period. Thank you. You need to provide sources for your images[edit]
In case you still do not realize this:
When uploading images to Wikipedia, please provide - in addition to a copyright tag - information on where exactly the image came from. The copyright tag says nothing about where the image comes from; that is for you to write in the "Summary" section. Where the image came from is as important as its copyright status; it allows others to double-check that the copyright tag is correct.
Source information is different from copyright information. Tagging an image with a copyright tag (even if the tag is correct) tells us nothing about its source. Regards, Awyong Jeffrey Mordecai Salleh 05:21, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:27Station.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. Notability of Fremont Police Department (Nebraska)[edit]
A tag has been placed on Fremont Police Department (Nebraska) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. File source problem with File:Joubert.jpg[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Joubert.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks for uploading File:Casady.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en
wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

copyvio[edit]
Essentially the entire article Lincoln Police Department] is a copyvio of their web site. I don't really want to speedy delete a well-established article, but this must be rewritten entirely, or permission obtained., according to the formal procedure: You must explicitly license the rights to the material according to our licensing, using the CC-BY-SA and the GNU licenses, as explained in WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:Donating copyrighted materials ; be aware that these licenses give everyone in the world an irrevocable license to reuse and alter the material, even for commercial purposes. Even if permission is obtained, some of the style is unsuitable and will need some rewriting. DGG ( talk ) 20:34, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
