Meanings of asteroid names[edit]

2003 MW12[edit]

Hi Andrew, sorry for my quick revert there. But JPL gives a perihelion date (what I call an estimate since the quality code is only 2, not 0) of 2094-11-28. Keep in mind that Wikipedia requires a reliable reference so that people can fact check for themselves. Horizons does give a perihelion date of 2096-Nov-02 23:00 @ 39.2228413858844 AU (Observer Location: @sun). Buie (DES) is showing a perihlion date of 2096-11-22 (2486934.7739). I will change it to show an estimated date of November 2096. I will edit the article to reference Horizons and Buie (DES).

Thank you for making me check this object. Wow, it is one of the few objects that Buie is still showing as a SCATEXTD object. How can a cubewano be a ScatExt object? Even Sedna comes up as SCATNEAR using Buie/DES.

I know that I e-mailed you in July 2008 about uploading a 2007 UK126 precovery image to wikipedia. I still hope to do that under a "fair use" clause.
