Tin Can Cathedral

Hello Lotje, I have been searching for a long time now for someone to translate this article from English into Dutch (I have put the text of it up in my Dutch Wikipedia sandbox). I noticed that you worked on the Wikipedia article on Lendelede, Belgium. Father Achiel Delaere came from this town in Belgium to Winnipeg,(at the invitation of Archbishop Langevin) to establish for Ukrainians the church of St. Nicholas on McGregor St. in Winnipeg's North-End. Father Delaere is mentioned in the article. When I was a child, I remember attending a service in that church. Could you take a look at the text in my Kladblok, and would you consider a Dutch translation of it? I would like to create this article in the Dutch Wikipedia. I would be grateful for any help. Nicola Mitchell (talk) 12:24, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

I'll have a look at it and come back on you. Lotje (talk) 16:49, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi, Nicola Mitchell, I started translating it, but I am missing references. I suggest you make an auto-translation and I correct it. Lotje (talk) 15:02, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello Lotje, I've added references to the section you've translated. Would it be okay with you if I just keeping adding references as you progress through the translation? Nicola Mitchell (talk) 21:16, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

Father Achille Delaere

Hello Lotje, If you go to my English sandbox: User:Nicola Mitchell/sandbox, you will find a first draft of an article on Father Achille Delaere. Please feel free to edit, add, or suggest anything in regards to the text. You can also use parts of it for your own article if you are going to create one. I can put in references for this text later. Thank you. Nicola Mitchell (talk) 12:38, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Would you have an image from him? Lotje (talk) 13:52, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Yes,I have an image. Its the one found in: http://yorktonredemptorists.com/our-history/redemptorists-from-the-beginning/ When I tried to upload it to Wikipedia, the Wikipedia refused to upload it until the article actually exists. Nicola Mitchell (talk) 15:21, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Great, then we will have to wait till the article has been approved. Lotje (talk) 15:27, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Okay, I've created the article. As you say, we'll have to wait now for approval. Nicola Mitchell (talk) 19:44, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Father Achille Delaere arrived in Canada on this day in 1899

Hello Lotje, I just wanted to share this with you. I'm in touch with the Redemptorists here in Winnipeg, and they sent me this note about the anniversary of Father Delaere's arrival. If you haven't already seen it, there's a Polish translation of the English article up and running. I'm still monkeying with trying to move the photo into Commons, so that it can be used worldwide instead of just North America. Nicola Mitchell (talk) 23:46, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

That's just great. Lotje (talk) 04:12, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
