Removing sources containing dead links[edit]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia! However, you should know that it is not a good idea to remove citations or information sourced through citations simply because a link to a source is not working. Dead links should not be deleted. Instead, please repair or replace the link, if possible, and ensure properly sourced information is retained. Often, a live substitute link can be found. Links not used as references, notes or citations are not as important, such as those listed in the "External links" or "Further reading" sections, but bad links in those sections should also be fixed if possible. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

[Sorry for the templating, but as I have noticed you've removed a few sources because they contained dead links, (most recently here at Sasha Grey), I thought you may not realise that WP policy prefers that citations not be removed only because they contain dead links. Please see WP:DEADREF for pointers on what to do instead. It's really important that we not lose information just because of an old url.] AukusRuckus (talk) 12:02, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Jacobkennedy per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jacobkennedy. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  GeneralNotability (talk) 01:12, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am not an alt my account does not match any of the ips this user has used and the request was denied, so I'd like to appeal on the basis of WP:NOTFISHING as I feel like a check anyway is the equivalent of double jeopardy with the expert moderator feeling like there was no basis to check me and this checker trying to fish for reasons to ban me against policy. So no not an alt and he went out of his way to break wiki policy. I feel this ban should be nullified as i is not valid, out of policy, and out of scope. Thank you. 03:59, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
CheckUser confirmed it, and it's not hard to figure out when one compares the edit history of your current account to that of Jacobkennedy. The best thing for you to do as of now is to take the standard offer, and request an unblock after such time on the account "Jacobkennedy". BlueNoise (Désorienté?
