Re: ANI, a bit of advice[edit]

For the record, next time you need to report someone, it is better to link directly to changes to the page in question, you can do this by going to the history tab, clicking "prev" next to a user's contribution, and copying the URL you end up at. This is the preferred way to do it and also allows you to see directly what the change was, so you don't accidentally get the wrong user. ^_^ --Licks-rocks (talk) 17:58, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this - this is the first time anything like this has happened to me. I appreciate the information. LeslieMac23 (talk) 17:59, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! Wikipedia's inner workings can be a bit daunting if you haven't been living in the walls here for a couple years :P --Licks-rocks (talk) 18:03, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:03, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Liz -
Thank you for this message - I was not sure how to proceed - especially because this addition was previously deleted by another moderator. I'll refrain from editing but rather suggest edits.
