Image spamming help request[edit]

Hi, I noticed your help request on Talk:Main page. I didn't know how to solve it, but I moved it to the New contributions help page (click on the blue link to see your topic), where I'm sure a helpful editor will notice it. This isn't a really black-and-white case, but I'm sure it can be sorted out. Perhaps a good first step would be to talk to the editor himself, if you haven't already done so. I'm glad you've decided to join us, please accept the sincere welcome below:

thanks ! --LeMisanthrope (talk) 07:34, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello LeMisanthrope, i also understand that wikipedia is neutral, but the Mosque of Uqba (Great Mosque of Kairouan) is not only an ordinary Tunisian mosque or a simple religious building, this monument has a huge history and an architectural importance in Islamic art history. I agree with your choices for articles like 3d modeling, Civilization, Religious Tourism but in other articles like Cultural tourism, minaret, architectural style, Tunisia, monument, the illustation or the information (with references) are pertinent so Please i ask you not to remove other informations or illustrations of the monument (the mosque besides its religious function is also a significant historical monument) ; in my future contributions, i do not plan to add new illustrations of the monument in other articles. I hope u will understand and i wish a friendly collaboration. Cordially, Quincy2010 (talk), 17:57, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

-And you still seem to lack acknowledgement of not imposing your personal point of view in Wikipedia articles, for which, again, I've reverted some of your edits. --LeMisanthrope (talk) 06:39, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've dropped by to monitor this issue. I'm a bit concerned. LeMisanthrope, I think it's very bad form to remove a substantial amount of text and mark it as a "minor edit". Removal of content is always controversial: provide a good edit summary and perhaps leave a note on the talk page. Both of you are making the mistake of not communicating enough. This is not black and white, the image belongs in some articles and not in others. So before reverting the other's edit, discuss it on the talk page. Use the image guideline to see whether the image is suitable for that specific article. Also take care to observe three revert rule.
I firmly believe this is nothing a discussion can't solve. For more help, see WP:Dispute resolution, but to sum it up: communicate, communicate, communicate. Both of you are great contributors, and have a common cause: to better Wikipedia. Don't let a petty dispute get in the way of that. Puchiko (Talk-email) 15:21, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
