Hey. =)
Sorry for not seeing this before, I haven't logged in for a while. I've been busy with other things lately, and I haven't been very active all month (or even last month). Probably in a few months, though, once I feel up to it. I appreciate the offer though! Master&Expert (Talk) 00:03, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
I didn't even notice that my email wasn't enabled. Thanks for pointing that out, too! (It may take me a while to check it, though) Master&Expert (Talk) 00:05, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the note. I do try to be tactful, but even just recently had an editor tell me that I go out of my way to insult the people I disagree with as much as possible. I feel as though that's... exaggerated... but it certainly shows that I could stand to be more graceful. --JayHenry (talk) 03:57, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

I wanted to take a moment to delivery a personal thank you (not "thank spam" :)) for your involvement in my RfA. (It passed 117-2-7 in case you hadn't seen.) Your clever comment brought a smile to my face and I really appreciated it. If you ever need administrator assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to ask, as I will be glad to help.

Thanks again, ThaddeusB (talk) 05:08, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't think he'll get to 100 but it looks like he'll get the tools. But if he does get over 100 supports, let me know. Cheers.--The LegendarySky Attacker 23:45, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Nah, trust me, he will, he's at 50 supports in under 8 hours of going live. Unless somebody brings up something truly damning (which I sort of doubt will happen but I've seen it before), his RfA is likely to just become a big pile-on of supports. Master&Expert (Talk) 23:49, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Alright.

It's been a few months since your post in July. ;) –Juliancolton | Talk 23:49, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey Julian. =)
I hate to keep prolonging this, but lately I've been pretty busy with other things in the real world (yes, I actually have a life away from Wikipedia). I'm hoping that I'll have more time to dedicate to Wikipedia soon - I mean, I can't make any promises or anything but I guess we'll see what happens. So for now, I just don't feel like I have enough time on my hands to do adminning. But thank you for the offer, and hopefully some time later when I'm back online more often I'll be able to accept. =) Master&Expert (Talk) 22:44, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

"off-putting brevity"

I'm curious as to what I said in my RfX which implied the "brevity...might be off-putting". Thanks for your support, by the way! Bob the Wikipedian (talkcontribs) 03:05, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

It's not that your nomination sentence is off-putting in the sense that it was bad. It's just that, usually nomination statements take up one or two paragraphs, whereas yours covers one sentence - that's not necessarily a bad thing, but brief self-nominations tend to give people the subconscious impression that you may be inexperienced for the role. I personally think you'd do fine if you became an admin — I can't guarantee it'll pass, or fail, but good luck! =) Master&Expert (Talk) 03:13, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Ah, okay. I wasn't really sure what you meant at all! What you've said now makes perfect sense. Bob the Wikipedian (talkcontribs) 03:16, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Random note

I was bored this morning and decided to look back at my old RfA (ping) and it appears I never thanked you for the kind words you left there in the support section. So consider this a rather late thank you. Regards, --—Cyclonenim | Chat  16:52, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

It's no problem at all. =) Master&Expert (Talk) 06:57, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Did I forget to thank you? ..

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed nearly unanimously with 174 in support, 2 in opposition and 1 neutral votes. Special thanks goes to RegentsPark, Samir and John Carter for their kind nomination and support. I am truly honored by the trust and confidence that the community has placed in me. I thank you for your kind inputs and I will be sincerely looking at the reasons that people opposed me so I can improve in those areas ( including my english ;) ). If you ever need anything please feel free to ask me and I would be happy to help you :). Have a great day ! -- Tinu Cherian - 04:29, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Naming Conventions. RFC: Removal of exceptions to "use common names" passage.

This is to inform you that removing exceptions to the use of "most Common Names" as the titles of Wikipedia articles from the the Talk:Naming_Conventions policy page, is the subject of a referral for Comment (RfC). This follows recent changes by some editors.

You are being informed as an editor previously involved in discussion of these issues relevant to that policy page. You are invited to comment at this location. Xandar 21:38, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

RfA

Hi and thanks for your thoughts on my RfA. I just wanted to address some of your concerns, if possible. That ArbCom request was certainly a mistake (I explained my reasoning here), but I don't think it reflects on my ability to perform any admin tasks. Also—I really just want adminship for the same reason I wanted it back in 2004, so that I can be a little more useful to the project. That's really all there is to it; it's the same reason I edit articles every day. I'm not petty enough to go to so much trouble for a mere "status symbol". Everyking (talk) 04:33, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Oh no, I don't think you're after a status symbol or anything, just trying to regain something which by all means probably wasn't fairly taken from you anyways. I might return to support later, as I doubt you'd do any damage if you were a sysop. Sorry if I've offended you or anything. Master&Expert (Talk) 04:44, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Not offended! Just wanted to clarify the purpose of the RfA. Some other people have raised the issue of "lost honor", and I guess I can see how the impression has developed, but at the bottom of all of it is the fact that Wikipedia is my main hobby, and if I'm going to devote my time to it I'd like to be as useful as possible. Everyking (talk) 04:54, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
I'm pretty liberal when it comes to RfA (I have very few standards beyond having trust in the absence of evidence to the contrary) so it's likely I'll go ahead and support soon anyways (I believe I did for your previous RfA). And I'd also like to throw this out there - I disagree with opposing based on your AfD philosophy. I see no solid reason to believe your judgment in that area would be impaired. Participation at my RfA

Thank you for taking the time to weigh in on my RfA. It was successful, in that the community's wish not to grant me the tools at this time was honored. I'm taking all the comments as constructive feedback and hope to become more valuable to the project as a result; I've also discovered several new areas in which to work. Because debating the merits of a candidate can be taxing on the heart and brain, I offer this kitten as a low-allergen, low-stress token of my appreciation. --otherlleft 14:46, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
For all the unpleasantness I've seen at some other RfAs, I have to say that none of the people involved in mine were anything but cordial. I might even join the Association of Wikipedians Nominated for Adminship Who were Unsuccessful But Not Disenchanted bY the Process. I'm sure that AAWNAWUBDYP is just packed with personal pleasant people!--otherlleft 13:58, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, yeah in your RfA people weren't particularly harsh. You handle criticism quite well - some people take things far too personally and get discouraged on their first go. Glad to see you're not like that. =) Master&Expert (Talk) 20:01, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Final Fantasy VII

Hello. I've restored the last paragraph of the lead section. I think it all should go there and it's all backed up by the body text (I've expanded the reception section slightly) –FunkyVoltron talk 08:01, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Fine with me. The only concern I have is that the paragraph has a few unsourced claims. Statements like "...has been named as one of the best games of all time by fans and critics..." should be backed by a reference, even if in the lead paragraph (see WP:WEASEL). On further reflection, I think the paragraph is all right and does a pretty fair job of summarizing the rest of the article. I'll probably be back here within the next couple of days or so to edit again. Master&Expert (Talk) 03:41, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
