Figure someone's going to bombard you with this one, so it may as well be me. ^_^--Mitsukai 04:31, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi Kiyosuki, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! ^_^

Okay, now that stuff's out of the way, you might want to consider joining us at the anime and manga project. We're trying to standardize all the anime and manga articles and several related Japanese cultural items. You don't need to know Japanese, and the help is always welcome. But again, welcome onboard, glad to be working with you on the Paranoia Agent articles, and hope to get to work with you a lot more. ^_^--Mitsukai 04:31, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Soma Cruz[edit]

Hello and welcome to the Wikipedia. You might want to know that whenever an editor makes changes to an article that might be of a questionable nature, it is costumary to add a weblink to the site from which he or she obtained the information, a move which around here we call citing your sources. I am particularly worried about the Irony section you added to the article on Soma Cruz. Do you have fairly realiable sources indicating those possibilities or is it something limited to the Castlevania fandom? If it is the former, I am afraid that section is going to have to be removed. Cheers. --Sn0wflake 15:05, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Thanks! (Palom/Porom sprites)[edit]

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for switching around the Palom and Porom images. Having done so much work with the FF4 character articles, I'm surprised I hadn't noticed this earlier. Thanks again! warpedmirror (talk) 19:30, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:VanHelsing.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VanHelsing.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 16:19, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It'll have to be taken up with the holder of the image, whose website I posted along with the image itself. Let me send him an email asking him about its creation.--Kiyosuki 23:50, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Kiyosuki, thanks for your message and reaction to save the image. Nicely done. Once copyright information from website administator is known, it would be very easy to tag the image. For safety reason it is great to save the image. Regards, Shyam (T/C) 06:18, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Simpsons Template[edit]

You did a very nice job with the {{Simpsons characters}} template... hopefully this will help the readers, as well as us editors... - Adolphus79 06:36, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I really appreaciate the help you gave. I'm really unfamiliar with template coding and that sort of thing in general so this is all very alien to me. --Kiyosuki 06:37, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Simpsons episode leads[edit]

Hi there. I'm afraid I've reverted your comments in the leads of several Simpsons episodes. Weasel words such as "this is one of the best-loved episodes" need some sort of source, such as a magazine poll. Subjective identification of particularly good or popular episodes isn't verifiable. Cheers. —Whouk (talk) 09:07, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quotes from The Simpsons[edit]

I can see that you have been copying quotes from Ralph Wiggum rom Wikipedia to Wikiquote. Wikiquote however is different from Wikipedia and has its own set of rules, which we should follow. I've been asking the experienced editors how the rules are at Wikiquote:Wikiquote:Village_pump#Quotes_from_The_Simpsons. I suggest that you read or join the discussion. When we get all the answers we need we can start a coordinated effort. --Maitch 18:11, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm aware of this. But the thing is...is that I see no other way. If we could only ask wikiquote's superiors about this maybe we can set something up..because the whole thing's a big, big mess. If Ralph's quotes don't have a place to go to...then there's only one other place anon's will inevitably put them on...his article on here. When I first redid Ralph's profile, his list of quotes was so unbelievbly long...it took up nearly half of the entire page's length. Its not just Ralph...many characters suffer from this. Plus there's the fact that the main quote page on the Simpsons on wikiquote is so cluttered, full, and long that people are having problems trying to fit anything on there. Just merely deleting information isn't going to solve anything....this is a problem that needs to be addressed.
I think in the case of this show in particular, and a few other shows with a massive quote list...there has to be exceptions. Right now the main way wikiquote is dealing with this is to just dump all of these quotes onto the Simpsons main page...the page does not need additional quotes. Its almost impossible to browse as it is.--Kiyosuki 23:44, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think we're going to wind up making articles per episode on WikiQuote, not character... as much work as your doing on the Simpsons stuff, you really need to add your name to rest of us Simpsons geeks at the WikiProject... I know you visit us... I've seen your sig on the talk page... :P - Adolphus79 01:38, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I added myself. I missed the list at first, I'm really busy right now with a lot of things. Sorry about that.
I still think that while the episode idea is good, I still think that certain characters should have their own page for the sake of organization. --Kiyosuki 02:05, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

IP block exemption[edit]

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Fred Talk 13:56, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ralph Wiggum[edit]

I just wanted to say that I'm impressed with the work that you have done on the article, that's a very good job for someone who hasn't touched the site in years. It's too bad you won't be sticking around. It could use a bit of expanding and I'll see what I can do over the holidays. By the way, are you the same Kiyosuki from NoHomers? -- Scorpion0422 00:55, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
