Two weeks ago I couldn't even spell administratur and now I are one (in no small part thanks to your support). Now that I checked out those new buttons I realize that I can unleash mutant monsters on unsuspecting articles or summon batteries of laser guns in their defense. The move button has now acquired special powers, and there's even a feature to roll back time. With such awesome new powers at my fingertips I will try to tread lightly to avoid causing irreversible damage and getting into any wheel wars. Thanks again and let me know whenever I can be of use.

I would like to ask you to reconsider your creation of the AfD for Dr.S. Hussain Zaheer Memorial High School. With a little bit of research, it is clear that the school is indeed notable, and the additional information has been added to the article with material from the school's web site and several references from The Hindu, India's main national newspaper. With its management and operation by the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, the school has a unique science program that allows students to learn from India's top scientists, and to have heard from several recent Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureates. The school competes in, and has won, at the top levels of sport in the state. I strongly suggest that all those who previously voted to Delete should re-read the article and reconsider their vote. Why hangon[edit]

Sorry dude, I was editing something else and my computer got messed up and I ended up pressing the wrong buttons. Not the intention to vandalise, even with this random IP. Really sorry.222.165.178.9 22:41, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your confidence. I have been doing a lot of work on the article. We'll have to wait and see what the furture holds, and I'll continue fixing the article up. But even though it took so many nominations to reach GA status, I don't regret nominating it most of those times; I like to know other editors' opinions in order to improve my writing abilities and all of that. Dhastings 20:26, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First off, thank you for your thorough review, once again. I realize that Hastings, Ontario certainly needs more work, and I was foolish to renominate it at such a premature time. However, I think I need to give you my opinion on your review, in order to use it to my advantage and Wikipedia's.

1- well-written: There are tons of phrases which need to be changed, such as "The Fowlds Family influenced the village of Hastings a great deal in its early history" (from "The Fowlds family"- also decide whether "family" should be capitalized or not), repitition of the phrase "vast majority" in "Demographics", "There is also a high school in nearby Norwood; the Norwood District High School." (this sentence basically states: there's a high school in town X called X High School), and "...life returns to the area, in the form of plants and animals" (from "Climate"). The entire "Location & Transportation" should go, as people don't need to know how exactly to drive from anywhere to anywhere else; Wikipedia isn't WikiTravel. The section headings have Manual of Style problems in relation to capitalization. "Economy & Tourism" still sounds like advertising.

Correct, I have been editing much of the work - another reason I should not have renominated it yet. Much of the information that you say should be removed is necessary to be kept. Honestly, I understand the need to condense the Location and transportation section, but I simply cannot remove it in its entirety. I don't see how "Economy and tourism" sounds like advertising. I have eliminated any and all ads. As for Manual of style problems, yes, I will be smoothing those out.

2(a)- references: Many sources are still unsourced. For example: "There are plans under consideration for a new shopping plaza to be built downtown." (from "Economy & Tourism"); "...making Hastings a central hub for tourists in the region." (from "Location & Transportation); the entire "Climate" section.

As you may have learned from reading the article, Hastings is a small village. It is absolutely impossible to source the new shopping plaza comment. I just heard locally that there were plans under consideration, though it is impossible to source that statement, and I may as well remove it. Unfortunately, not all statements are citable; one would have to assume that a small village with a marina and excellent fishing conditions would be a hub for tourist fishermen.
Now, Climate is a large section. I have recently worked on condensing it, and am considering shortening it even further. However, none of that information is citable, except for the climate statistics, which directly relate to the information I have written. I have a keen interest in the weather, and have lived in Ontario for many years, and lived in Hastings during the Christmas holidays, through the summer, spring and fall. Most of the non-statistical information is from my own knowledge. This can be rooted to fact through the statistics.

2(b)- citations: The first citation (regarding weather info) is broken; without it, an entire section of the text is completely unverifiable. The third citation, from hastingsvillage.ca, only goes to that main site; the citation should point to where specific information can be found.

No, the weather citation is not broken. And the hastingsvillage.ca link was my mistake, that is now corrected.

5- stability: In just the past six hours, much of the article has changed; while the changes were not due to edit wars, they were completely unrelated to splitting/merging, vandalism, or article protection.

I apologize for that. That was, again, my fault, as I renominated the article far too early.

6(a)- images: There's no reason for me to believe that Image:GrassCoatedInFrost.jpg is in any way related to Hastings, considering that the photographer lives in England. This is exactly the same as when the article had a photo of a lightning strike in Denver. If the picture was not taken in Hastings, it should be immediately removed.

That image is now removed.

Thank you again for the time you put in. I will be working to correct the issues. If you have anything to add, please do. Dhastings 17:56, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What does "!vote" mean?[edit]

I saw you used the word and I've seen other people use it as well, but I'm not sure what in wikipedia terms in means? Does the "!" mean "I'm calling it a vote, but I know it's not actually a vote, technically"? thanks for any clarification... curious, Bwithh 16:03, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BBC News 24 Good article failure[edit]

Many thanks for your time and the suggestions you have made. I will do my best along with others to address your concerns and hope to be in a position to renominate the article soon. School AfDs[edit]

Please avoid comments such as this. They're in terribly bad taste, and I take personal offense to some of what you said. Just because I'm a deletionist, you classify me as having a certain personality type [that I play by my own rules and refuse to listen to others, especially when consensus exists (even though, in the case of schools, no such consensus is actually present)], even though you know nothing about me nor my editing habits. I commended you a few days ago on your improvement of an article that was put up on AfD; since then, most of what I have seen from you is attacks on others simply because they disagree with you, and it's quite disappointing. -- Kicking222 03:04, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I had meant to thank you for the kind words and I'm sorry to be thanking you retroactively under these circumstances, but the remarks were most appreciated, considering that it was an article that was headed for certain deletion, was improved and will survive the AfD with flying colors. At least a remark that stated that "it should have been prodded, but regardless, here's the AfD" would have acknowledged that there was a blatant failure to follow policy. School articles seem to be increasingly targeted for AfD, citing all sorts of non-existent rules and guidelines. Failing to follow the real rules and guidelines only further demonstrates that there is no real effort at reaching consensus, only at pursuing an agenda. At least that's how the process seems to me. That's a great photo. Was it taken at the Paradise? If so, not just was I at that show, but I was standing first row, directly in front of Eirik. In fact, that was one of my favorite concerts ever. -- Kicking222 14:25, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Were you the one that started rapping? lol... Yes, that was at Paradise, and so funny that you were there too! I have a bunch of other pictures as well (probably one or two with you in the background!), though none of them came out that good, as I was using a not-so-great camera at the time. Nevertheless, if you care to see them, just let me know, and I'll e-mail them to you. Like you, I've been to a lot of concerts in the area, and I still contend that the KoC concert was my favorite ever. My biggest pet peeve is a concert that is too loud, but KoC kept it calm and soothing, as always :o) tiZom(2¢) 16:33, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't necessarily disagree with your usage of the template- in fact, I think it's a good idea. However, you really must remove the clause about an article being semi-protected; as per WP:WIAGA, stability and protection from vandalism are completely unrelated. -- Kicking222 18:46, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Though technically not incorrect (if the semi-protection is from an edit war), it is misleading. Thanks for pointing it out. --SeizureDog 21:04, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Trappers Cabin[edit]

Okay, I made a mistake. It happens. I didn't see the word "fan" in the title of the documentary, and I mistakenly assumed it was legit. I was dealing with a CSD backlog of 200+ articles and I'm bound to screw up. In the future, when addressing me or any other editor who has made a decision you find questionable, it's probably better to politely ask them to explain their reasoning, rather than being snappy and sarcastic. I've deleted the article. Cheers. -- Merope 15:44, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cool Stuff![edit]

Hey, I stumbled on your user page and thought it was funny and cool. I totally agree with your stance on non-notability. I detest these vanity articles on some school "just because" it's a school and therefore it's notable. Looks like you're doing a good job, keep it up! My RfA[edit]

I would like to take the time to thank you for voting in my unsuccessful RFA. I'll be sure not to AFD article series like episode summaries without mailing list/VP discussion. Seriously. Have a nice day, and I apologize for the laggy response! (By the way, I'm a Splashdown/Freezepop fan too) -- Chris is me 05:06, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I heard about Splashdown through hearing Symbion Project work in Amplitude. There's absolutely no way I would've heard of them without that game. Yeah, I'll just keep editing. I wasn't sure I would pass, but at least I know with a few more moths, a buncha Neutrals would become Supports. -- Chris is me 05:29, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Many 3RR?[edit]

I have been blocked twice; one of them was an 3RR violation, and that was an accident. The other was a very loose interpretation of the arbcom decision in the Ultramarine matter, which restricted all participants active on two specific articles. Stifle blocked both of us for an edit dispute on one line a third article, for a minimal period, as a warning. Neither of us had violated 3RR; we were both. I think, surprised.

I bring this up because I would not care to have such an exaggeration part of the record of the RfA. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 18:17, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for voting[edit]

File:In-the-dark.jpg

Thank you for voting in my RfA which at 51/20/6 unfortunately did not achieve consensus. In closing the nomination, Essjay remarked that it was one of the better discussed RfAs seen recently and I would like to thank you and all others who chose to vote for making it as such. It was extremely humbling to see the large number of support votes, and the number of oppose votes and comments will help me to become stronger. I hope to run again for adminship soon. Thank you all once more. Wikiwoohoo 19:23, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On AfD - Andrew Jesse Brown[edit]

I wouldn't ask a communist to comment on fascism impartially. I wouldn't ask a Nazi to comment on communism impartially. Your association with your academic institution automatically makes you unfit to comment on Andrew Jesse Brown. The question doesn't lie with liberal vs. conservative schools, the question lies with the rivalry between Brandeis and Fordham. I never made any mention of your religion -- you assumed it, as you assume knowledge of the article you are trying to delete. My recommendation for User:Kicking222: consider what knowledge you actually have and avoid situations that place you in direct conflict with any bias you may be accused of having. BrandNewCigarettes 16:39, 14 December 2006 (UTC) Ciggy[reply]

  • The fact is that the rivalry exists in ideology and, yes, in application/enrollment. You, once again, assumed knowledge of the political leanings of Fordham, calling it a "conservative" college. It is, in fact, not. I will civilly end this discussion, in which I feel that you:
    • Discounted my credibility due to my new application to Wikipedia
    • Assumed knowledge about a topic that you did not possess.
    • Call into the conversation unverifiable information about my peers, my University, and myself
    • Use strong and unnecessary language in your attempt to "prove a point"

Thank you for your input on the article. I look forward to making Wikipedia a better place... though not necessarily with your help. BrandNewCigarettes 16:54, 14 December 2006 (UTC) Ciggy[reply]

If there really is a rivalry between Brandeis University and Fordham University, it might be a good idea to add that to their respective articles. For example, the University of Dayton article talks about their athletic rivalry with Cincy and Xavier, and University of Toledo mentions Bowling Green. --Gladlyplaid 17:02, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Whoops, that comment was supposed to be for BrandNewCigarettes, not Kicking222. Sorry! --Gladlyplaid 17:25, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My recent RfA[edit]

AfDs[edit]

I am trying to drive home the point that if, as they say I must do, everything goes to AfD, nothing will get done but clog up AfD and keep nonsense floating around. User:Zoe|(talk) 19:28, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree absolutely. The idea that we should go out of our way, and clutter up AFD, to nurture "process" when there is zero chance of this A-league player ever being kept, is totally counterproductive. Fan-1967 19:30, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So what am I supposed to do, just let nonsense go? badlydrawnjeff will just stalk me and challenge it whatever I do. User:Zoe|(talk) 19:32, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, but that's Jeff. I think that most people are aware that moving to his standards would gum up the works so badly that nothing could ever get done. Fan-1967 19:33, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

VFD: Speedrun template[edit]

I noticed your comment on the deletion discussion of Template:Speedrun articles external links, in which you asked why any article would ever need it. IIRC it was originally created simply to keep the external links sections of the Time attack and Speedrun articles consistent. So, now you know why it existed - not for a very good reason. ;-) --Nick RTalk 01:32, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage[edit]

You said: "How do you manage to get it vandalized so much? I don't think I've ever seen such an unassuming userpage that needed to be reverted so frequently."

Most of my actions on the Wikipedia are to revert vandalism. I've also started removing images violating WP:FU. These are not necessarily good ways to endear myself. In particular, reverting vandalism is a good way to get your user page vandalised. At least, this is what I tell myself. It's also possible that all the vandalism comes from bitter ex's. But anyway, vandalism is just another way of expressing love.  :) What actually surprises me is how rarely I have to revert my user page. --Yamla 03:37, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA[edit]

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which did not succeed and was closed early at 2/10/9. I am not discouraged, however, and will use the experience to improve my skills until a later date when I may succeed. Yuser31415 20:50, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

e-"sports" afd[edit]

First off, I did scan each of them. 2nd, they weren't all delete. 3rd, as I stated, I don't see that playing a game, or winning a reward for playing a game, is notable. It's just playin a bleedin game! I did note, for the groups, that people should be culled out of them if they were notable for something other than being in a gaming group. So, you're comment is off base and uncalled for. SkierRMH 03:28, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What you think should be notable doesn't matter. Maybe I don't think that shooting a stupid orange ball into a net should make anyone notable, but I don't put Michael Jordan's article up for AfD. The point was that they are notable per WP:BIO whether you like why they're notable or not. If you can argue against their notability rather than why they're notable, go right ahead. J0lt C0la 03:51, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies for the "none" - I reviewed the page quickly and included a non-relevant article in my count.

If you go back to the afd page, you will see that I did reverse a few of them, as J0lt has done a good job of showing notability for them.

Now, on to my question - which I hope will lead to a clarification in the WP:BIO definition:

E-gamers - what category is being used?[edit]

I'm not trying to PO people here, and this is a serious question from a non-sports person (the only sports I do are downhill skiing and figure skating (and a bit of college hockey years ago))... What criteria is being used for these people? My reading of the WP:BIO is along these lines...

From Wikipedia:Notability (people) Where do e-gamers fall into the standard categories? They are not:

Political figures
local political figures
entertainment or opinion makers
actors or TV Personalities
Published authors, editors and photographers
Painters, sculptors, architects, engineers, and other professionals
Persons achieving renown or notoriety for their involvement in newsworthy events, such as by being assassinated

Can they be considered under the following:?

Sportspeople/athletes/competitors who have played in a fully professional league, or a competition of equivalent standing in a non-league sport such as swimming, or at the highest level in mainly amateur sports or other competitive activities that are themselves considered notable, including college sports in the United States.

They aren't sportspeople or athletes - but they may be competitors; is this the category where their notability is being justified? I didn't think that this was the intent of this category; I read this as those that are actually physically competing. If e-athletes are to be judged under this criteria, I would urge a notation being made as such to prevent further confusion on the issue.

As I couldn't put them in any of the above categories, I fell back to the basic:

"The person made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in their specific field. - All of these criteria are in fact simply special cases of the general primary criterion of multiple non-trivial published works from independent sources. A person who is "part of the enduring historical record" will have been written about, in depth, independently in multiple history books on that field, by historians.

There may be articles written about these people, to whom I have no animosity, but can it be said that they are making a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in their specific field?

I do agree that several of the persons on the AFD list do have independent notability, and have noted so on their pages. However when looking at the field, I still say that these don't qualify as I don't see how they are part of the enduring historical record... (article - began playing):

Chris Smith (electronic sports player) - May 2005
Scott Lussier - July 2005
Eric Hewitt - April 2006
Ben Jackson (electronic sports player) - May 2005
Dave Walsh - March 2004
Brandon Jenkins - April 2006
Carlos Morales (electronic sports player) - April 2006
Michael Cavanaugh - April 2006
Victor de Leon III - "Victor has won no tournaments and has no notable placements in professional events."
Ryan Danford - May 2004
Zyos -"Leto quit gaming professionally after his former team, Xit Woundz, failed to place top 4 during the second event of the 2006 season."
TuLegit - ?

Again, I'm not trying to PO people here, would just like to see a clarification made for future disucssion on where exactly these people fit into the WP:BIO scheme!

Thanks for your patience with a non-gamer :) SkierRMH 05:55, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the support![edit]

I appreciate your support in thwarting the attempt to wipe gamers off of Wikipedia. Could I possibly get your support in saving StrongSide's page? He's a former member of Carbon and a new member of Final Boss. I just can't find an article from a physical newspaper to cement it (though it's not actually required), so any extra sources are appreciated. By the way, I hope you don't mind that I left the guy above me a comment! J0lt C0la 03:51, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Per your comment on my page, I have a few links on him, I was just hoping for a link from a physical paper. I'd still appreciate you explaining on the page why he meets WP:BIO standards (I've written that phrase so many times in the last few days that it should have its own key on my keyboard). speedy deletion tags[edit]

Tami Lane[edit]

I'm sorry, but this was an incredibly poor move. Whether winning an Oscar is sufficiently notable or not (I certainly think it is), you attempted to speedy an article on someone who has a very obviously claim of notability. Please watch how you throw around speedy deletion tags. -- Kicking222 19:38, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't "throwing them around"-this user had some two-dozen single line articles, like she'd gone down a list of names and made bios for them, without even getting dates of birth. The tags were to encourage defense and improvement of the articles, which in this case it did. Please watch your tone when you make assumptions. Chris 19:45, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GA Delisting for MMORPG[edit]

Thank you for your comments regarding what you think is needed for relisting MMORPG on GA. I've recently become involved in improving this article (recently, as in the last few months), including adding about 25 citations to the article.

I've just removed a bunch of excess "See Also" links and was wondering if you'd comment on the discussion page as to whether that's adequate regarding your comment there. I've also proposed there that the last three sections should either be cited soon, or removed entirely.

The proposals don't say they should be deleted either, so they don't provide any reasons for deletion based on lack of "notability", whatever that means. Again, I apologize. KnightLago 22:49, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DuMont Television Network[edit]

Hi Kicking!

Thanks for your comments here. I appreciate your kind words, and your helpful suggestions during this article's peer review process. Thanks also for fixing the link to the list of Dumont Network affiliates, which I did not catch. If you see anything else that needs to be fixed, please do not hesitate to chime in on the FAC page, or, as always, on the article itself. Thanks again. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 05:30, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your support[edit]

Thank you for your support in the RfA on my behalf. It is an honor to have received your expression of confidence. To be chosen as an administrator requires a high level of confidence by a broad section of the community. Although I received a great deal of support, at this time I do not hold the level of confidence required, and the RfA did not pass. It is my wish that I will continue to deserve your confidence. Sincerely, --BostonMA talk 18:58, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kicking222,

Thank you for supporting me at the RfA, or at least at my talk page. I appreciate it so much! Just to notify you, I will be on RfA again in March 2007, and will you be willing to nominate me?

P.S. May I add you as my Wikifriend? See User:Smcafirst/Best Friends on Wikipedia for details.

My Signature[edit]

Copied from my userpage....

Please shorten your sig. In markup, it's incredibly long; in fact, it's probably the largest sig I've ever seen. It could potentially make it very hard to edit a page when eight lines of text are taken up by a signuatre. Thanks. -- Kicking222 22:41, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your the second person in a day to say that, its only long because my names so long! On a serious note, I'm planning to sit down in the next few days and create a new shorter one. Re: drv[edit]

To your first question -- it would depend if they were citing it in the course of making a cogent argument for deletion. Realistically, if nobody disagrees then the article is unlikely to be a great loss.

As to this article, it is sourced to my satisfaction at the moment. The independent OFSTED source is cited for the outside evaluation and the school's prospectus is cited for the historical information. Both sources seem reliable for the information they support. (The addition of these sources was a late development, which is why earlier comments at the AFD appear to contradict the facts. On a purely numerical basis, the sourced version of the article was running 3-2 for keep when the discussion was closed.) Christopher Parham (talk) 20:42, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD discussion for Liberty City Revenge[edit]

You can't put up idle chit-chat up on AfD discussions. It clutters up the discussion; an AfD is only for voting, and nothing else. I don't mean to be uptight about it, but I'm just stating a fact. BishopTutu 00:55, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I'm sorry; it's just that I'm stressed out over this "GTA gangs" crap that a user keeps on agitating me about. I've explained to him how he's wrong about what he's talking about, but he won't listen, even when i give him the clearest of information, and I'm trying to convince him, because he could cause problems for the article, when its protection comes down. I'm just on edge a bit. BishopTutu 02:14, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's true, it's just an article, but have you seen how much arguing we did in the List of Gangs talk archives? It's absolutely ridiculous; I had to archive it because it got too long, due to our arguments, and I know he'll try to get his GTA-uneducated, unsupported point across in the article somehow: he's sockpuppeted, for one, and he has use of multiple computers. BishopTutu 02:35, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, man. I've considered bringing in third parties, but this guy is particularly stubborn; he might just blow it off as me "lying" to get my way. But it's ok, I'll resolve it. Thanks for your concern, anyway, and "Happy Editing," as it were. BishopTutu 02:44, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You recently expressed concern about the length of my signature. Well............................... I've taken your advice and heres my new one! My RFA[edit]

Hey, thanks so much for supporting my recent RFA. A number of editors considered that I wasn't ready for the mop yet and unfortunately the RFA did not succeed (69/26/11). There are a number of areas which I will be working on (including changing my username) in the next few months in order to allay the fears of those who opposed my election to administrator.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your support over the past week. I've been blown away by the level of interest taken in my RFA and appreciate the time and energy dedicated by all the editors who have contributed to it, support, oppose and neutral alike. I hope to bump into you again soon and look forward to serving you and Wikipedia in any way I can. Cheers! Help with GTA gangs article[edit]

As you may remember, there are still issues with the same user that I was arguing with before, except he has got himself a sockpuppet and is using said puppet to mess with the article. I hate to bring others into what are, technically, my battles, but I feel I have no other choice, especially if, for some strange reason, I get blocked (I haven't done anything to get blocked, but stuff happens sometimes.) I'm coming to you because you appear to actually give, at least, a little of a crap about GTA. I just want these issues resolved. And, by the way, this is BishopTutu. I've had my name changed, due to username violations. Klptyzm 17:21, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Hope you are well. I am currently working on redlinks in this article (namely board member bios). When I have those finished I was thinking about a FAC. All of the peer review and last FAC suggestions have been addressed. The most important changes are an expanded lead, facts to provoke interest, an expanded history and a much expanded criticism section. Further suggestions from Tony1 have also been addressed. One of the main results has been the addition of the Position in its markets section. If you have time for a quick look sometime I would be really greatful - either to give your opinion on whether it's ready for a FAC or to make suggestions for further improvement. Thanks Mark83 15:08, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Great job on the What's the Story article. Your contributions never fail to impress me, Firsfron. In fact, when I saw the article in DYK and read "DuMont Network", I assumed it was your work before even reading the article. While I was not surprised that it was your doing, I also was not surprised that it was so well-written. -- Kicking222 22:24, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kicking!
Thank you so much for your kind words; you're like this cool cheerleader, you know? :) All I can say is "thank you." Yes, as there are currently very few people who regularly contribute to DuMont Network-related topics, you were probably right to assume this article was my work (although I'll mention someone else recently created the article on DuMont series The Strawhatters. I was a little shocked when I saw it suddenly appear one day on Category:DuMont network shows). As for What's the Story, I would really have liked to include a screen shot as a Fair Use image for the infobox, but since apparently no kinescoped episodes exist, that was sort of out of the question. :/ It was so cool to see the article on the Main Page after the miserable failure that was the DuMont FAC. Very uplifting. Anyway, thanks so much for your comments, Kicking. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 01:07, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My last RfA/me[edit]

Hi Kicking222! You opposed my last RfA in late November 2006. There were opposes citing civility and inexperience with policy. It's about 3 months after that, and I think I've gained more experiance in policy and more emotional stability on-wiki. Recently I've been doing a bit of Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam stuff, though this last week I haven't had a great deal of time. Anyway, I was considering an RfA in a month or two, and I wanted to ask a few people if they had any recommendations as to what I should to or criticisms over the last few months. Thanks for reading! Hi Kicking222,

Remember me? I am Smcafirst, the one who failed miserably in the January's RfA with only 33% consensus. Well, I will be on again at RfA probably next week. Will you be willing to nominate me? I will be on RfA probably during the weekend. (March 10 or March 11)Please see my Editor Review and make your decision. I have currently about 2700 edits, which is doubled of my edit count during my first RfA, and during the upcoming week, I'll probably squeeze 300 more edit counts.

Thank you, and please reply,

Oracle of Ages and Seasons[edit]

Ages and Seasons are NOT the same game. Pokémon Red and Blue's only differences are some different Pokémon. Oracle of Ages has a completely different overworld, different equipment, characters, storyline (albeit one which is connected to Season's), mechanics (underwater is not in Seasons, nor is time travel), bosses, etc. I would be hard-pressed to say that Oracle of Ages and Seasons are each as long if not longer than Link's Awakening, so I suppose that LA is less of a game too. - A Link to the Past (talk) 18:21, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
