National RIngette League[edit]

Is there a proposal for a merge or a deletion of the NRL article? CheckersBoard (talk) 18:22, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, it was a category, my bad. Sorry, yes apparently there were two similar. Understood. CheckersBoard (talk) 18:27, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sports clubs and teams[edit]

Thanks for the work in the nomination Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2023 June 6#Category:Sports clubs by country subdivision. I noticed after the bot had started processing these that you had tagged the "clubs" category pages but not the "teams" pages. In this case I think there is little doubt that the rename & merge would have been agreed anyway if they had all been tagged, following recent precedents, so I let them all be processed (rather than try to undo or relist). However, please double-check any similar cases in future. – Fayenatic London 22:23, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Yes, will do in the future. Kaffet i halsen (talk) 05:57, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I only noticed the bot's processing of the CfD, of which I was not aware, and I'm questioning a bit whether it was well thought of. For one, it had the effect of lumping clubs—in the sense of physical venues—in with those in the sense of competitive groups. Take the Category:Golf clubs and courses sub-tree for example. Should it really be in the same tree with competitive teams? --Paul_012 (talk) 02:47, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Update: Now raised at Wikipedia talk:Categories for discussion#Follow-up to sports clubs/teams merger. --Paul_012 (talk) 03:24, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Parasports competitors by city indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 19:12, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
