July 30 Important notice: I will Not be making the Timon and Pumbaa DVD, but keep the unaired episodes as a reference.

August 9: After realizing that making the DVD is CRAZY!!!, all my previous edits to my page was just for positive reinforcement.

Hello Jack, welcome to Wikipedia. Here are some useful links in case you haven't already found them;

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

Hello! I'm looking at your edits in High definition television, and I wondered if you knew that the traditional convention in the English language is to have capital letters only at the start of sentences and for proper nouns. -- Anon.

Very short pages with no definition or context (eg "He is a funny man that has created Factory and the Hacienda. And, by the way, his wife is great.").

The article on John Cena has some definition and some context, thus is not a candidate for speedy deletion. Martin 23:36, 20 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Jzhang, re your recent uploads (T&P wallpaper), please keep in mind that Wikipedia is not a file repository, nor a disk drive. Nearly all uploads must be used on an actual article itself. Wallpaper images and stuff "Social Studies Offline Web Resource" aren't encyclopedic, and may likely be deleted.

Thanks, and keep contributing. Dysprosia 04:46, 10 Dec 2003 (UTC)

We can't upload copyrighted material either. See Wikipedia:Copyrights. Copyrighted material will be removed. Dysprosia 04:46, 10 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Hi again. I hope I don't sound like I'm ragging on you, but the Wikipedia guidelines have to be pointed out - it is considered bad practice for Wikipedians to write about themselves in articles themselves. Once the DVD comes out and is extremely popular and is worthy of inclusion in this encyclopedia, then we will write about you. For now we cannot. Thanks Dysprosia 05:05, 10 Dec 2003 (UTC)

However, self promotion is fine on your user page. RickK 05:07, 10 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Jack, when those 5 years come around, someone will write about you, maybe. Not now. I would ask you stop adding the details about yourself, or you will find yourself being actively reverted on this matter. Thanks Dysprosia 05:12, 10 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Probably not, but I'm not sure which links you mean. Do you mean external links? If so, no - there's no way of checking these automatically. They need to be checked and corrected by hand. If that's not what you meant, let me know. Angela. 20:32, 12 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Oh, those links – well, they should appear as blue links as soon as the page is created. If they don't it is a bug, but it's a known bug and will be fixed automatically when the links table is updated. Sometimes, if you see a red link that should be blue, editing the page it points to can fix the problem. If it stays like it for ages, try mentioning it on the village pump. Jack, I hate to be a wet blanket but the opening script of a not-yet-produced DVD is not really the sort of thing that ought to be in an enyclopedia. (Timon and Pumbaa's Virtual Safari). Incidentally when you say you are putting together a Timon and Pumbaa DVD, do you work for Disney, or are you making a DVD by copying Timon and Pumbaa episodes? If it's the last, you may want to think again about advertising the fact that you are doing something illegal. DJ Clayworth 18:52, 20 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Even if this is a DVD that was created, it's still too detailed. It would be too detailed if the DVD had sold a million copies. DJ Clayworth 18:59, 20 Jan 2004 (UTC)
OK, so the Virtual Safari is really a Disney disk, sold in the Lion King DVD set. Why not write an article, describing the release. Then if you want to put review comments in a section, it might work. The current effort of describing the DVD step by step is painful nonsense. The only thing accomplished so far is to create a candidate for votes for delection. Lou I 20:55, 20 Jan 2004 (UTC)

I've defended your page in the past, but this DVD transcript is just a little to flamboyant. Try to be as scholarly in your descriptions as you can. The more concise and descriptive, the better. Also, I've deleted the editor/co-editor thing on your main page; no one has any more authority on any one article than any other. I've replaced it with a more Wikipedia text. -- user:zanimum

"Offended a teacher"[edit]

I once zap-signed the entire school during assembly, but nothing too bad happened since the teachers knew I was cool and the pupils had provoked me (don't ask...). Where do you live? Zyxoas (talk to me - I'll listen) 13:12, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
