June 2013[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Jwpcompany", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. }} Alexf(talk) 16:22, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am working clearly on improving Wikipedia articles only - there is no other motives behind this. There is no promotional material or content that I submit to Wikipedia. I submit/release content e.g. images, photographs, logos, designs and other artwork, including information that I have rights to release and distribute as I can not act on anyone else's behalf or use materials which belong to other people, unless I have permission to do so. Therefore I provide my own content. I am not acting on anyone's behalf and my user name is clearly my choice and does not violate terms of use. Thank you for understanding. --JWP Company (talk) 21:08, 6 June 2013 (UTC)--JWP Company (talk) 21:08, 6 June 2013 (UTC)--JWP Company (talk) 21:03, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

This account has been created ONLY to improve Wikipedia articles.

Decline reason:

Wikipedia accounts must be for individuals only, who are personally responsible for them, and usernames which are names of groups or companies are not permitted. One reason is that group accounts are invariably here for promotional purposes. Your name evidently represents Josh Wood Productions and your very first edit was an attempt to insert a picture of your principal, Josh Wood. Another was a proposal to delete an article about another company in the same line of business.

Wikipedia is not to be used for any kind of promotion, and has strong rules against editing with a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. If you wish to be unblocked, you must suggest a username which will represent only you as an individual, and confirm that you understand that, even with an individual username, in any edits concerned with Josh Wood, his company, his competitors or his area of business generally, you would still be bound by the conflict of interest rules and would not be able to edit directly. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Dear John, I will suggest you to improve the article which does violate Wikipedia guidelines and doesn't have any sources nor reliable sources, the purpose for nomination for deletion was to draw attention of Wiki Admins to decide what to do with it, it is clear that it can not be kept on Wikipedia as it is clearly violating the guidelines and terms of use. However [you] see only your way of story. The company Blinding Edge Pictures [itself] has nothing to do with me or with Josh Wood Productions, Inc. nor Josh Wood (the producer). I have submitted materials which I own right to submitt/publish - simple as that. I am free to choose my nickname/login name - please provide me with the link on Wikipedia article which does prohibit me using the name I want to use, rather you connecting the dots in your own way. Thank you! --JWP Company (talk) 15:40, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
