MfD nomination of User:JustbeBPMF[edit]

User:JustbeBPMF, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:JustbeBPMF and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:JustbeBPMF during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Orange Mike | Talk 06:41, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cutting and pasting[edit]

Your userpage and this talk page contain enormous quantities of material which does not contribute to the purposes of Wikipedia, consisting as it does of cut-and-pasted articles on your userpage, and a draft article on this page. Please see WP:USERPAGE and WP:TALKPAGE for guidance as to what does and does not belong on such pages. --Orange Mike | Talk 06:43, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you familiar with the procedure for creating a user sandbox? A sandbox User:JustbeBPMF/Sandbox (or a series of sandboxes) would be the place(s) for putting the things you're currently experimenting with on your userpage and here on your talkpage. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:09, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, and? Are you telling me that I should do the translation? Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 01:41, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's not my responsibility. It's the responsibility of someone who speaks Chinese to look at it on the Pages to be translated page. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 22:57, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't revert Kuo Kuan-ying to the Chinese language version. If you can't be bothered to translate the Chinese, then I suggest you edit at the Chinese language Wikipedia. Chinese articles don't belong on the English Wikipedia. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 23:26, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Guo Wu Ji Yao Fei[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Guo Wu Ji Yao Fei, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

This doesn't make any sense to me so it needs to be properly translated or zapped

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Water disaster article[edit]

I converted Eight eight water diaster into a redirect page as the actual flooding information should be included in the main article. Send me a message if you have any questions. ceranthor 17:36, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not English[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with 2009 year world games pull out the river game. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you.

However I have decided to be merciful and moved the article to User:JustbeBPMF/sandbox. This article is simply not ready yet for the English Wikipedia. Most importantly what the <expletive deleted> is the "pull out the river game"? Linking individual words is utterly pointless. What is the proper English name for this sport? Also, please translate all the Chinese in the article and provide proper references. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 18:43, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • OK, This is a vaild articles to intro pull out the river (拔河) of World Games 2009 hold in Kaohsiung, Taiwan! -- JustbeBPMF (talk) 18:43, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So give me some links! We do not have an article on pull out the river. Perhaps you should write that first. Or is it known by something else in English? — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 18:47, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One picture is worth a thousand words! I think you may be talking about tug of war. We already have Tug of war at the World Games which seems to cover the subject quite adequately. Why does that state the competition was held in Kaohsiung when you claim it was held in Jhongshan? — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 18:55, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It would have saved a lot of time if you had actually created 拔河 as a link, folowed that link and followed its link back to the English Wikipedia. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 19:16, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstars and cats[edit]

If the barnstars and categories actually apply to you, feel free to re-instate them. Otherwise, please to not pu misleading information here. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 19:03, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Clathrina densa has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability. There are about seventy articles like this one, each on a species of genus Clathrina. All those that I have looked at are nine words long. The article on the genus Clathrina is also nine words long, plus a linked list of the species. I propose deleting all seventy species articles until such time as the genus article is long enough so that the species need to be broken out separately.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. . . . . Jim . . . . Hello JustbeBPMF. I've denied the bot request for approval for User:ChinaRailwayENGED. Please see my reasoning at the BRfA. In addition, I've blocked the account for now, to prevent it from editing without approval. I will also note that you appear to have been running unapproved bots on your own account (i.e. this one). Please make sure that this is discontinued, as it is not allowed by bot policy to use a fully automated tool on your own account, or without approval. Even if the tool you have been using is semi-automated, this is still not allowed without approval since you have been creating content. - Kingpin13 (talk) 08:54, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
