Sport Australia Hall of Fame[edit]

Hello, thanks for adding notes about peoples' induction into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame. However, please stop adding it to the lead sections of articles, as it's not a notable enough fact to put there. Also, such additions should be referenced; the SAHOF profile will do. Syntax like <ref>{{cite web|url=<address of SAHOF profile>|title=<name>|accessdate=3 September 2013}}</ref> would be fine. I've done this at Duncan Armstrong and a few other articles. Graham, Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding the issue of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame information.
Induction into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame is the highest National sporting honour that can be bestowed and is the pinnacle of Australian sporting excellence. Therefore we feel that this is in fact notable enough to be included in the lead section of our members Wikipedia pages and we are sure they agree.
Thanks again, Jump MM —Preceding undated comment added 23:07, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Because you have some kind of affiliation with the Sports Australia Hall of Fame, I do not believe you are a neutral party on this issue. It seems suspicious to me that you are the first person to advocate the importance of SAHOF membership in Wikipedia's twelve-year history. (I'm not saying it shouldn't be mentioned at all ... I'm just saying it shouldn't be mentioned so prominently).
Also, who is "us" and "our"? I'm going to assume you mean "the organization I represent" or some such, but shared accounts are not generally allowed on Wikipedia. Graham87 08:56, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much for creating the article about Joyce Brown, which I'd noticed while quickly checking through your edits. Creating articles about neglected topics on Wikipedia is always a good idea and I'd agree that anybody on the SAHOF deserves a Wikipedia article here. Graham87 09:06, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
